Indian authorities detained Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the anti-government “Cockroach” movement, along with two other movement leaders and thousands of protesters on Saturday.
Opposition politicians, journalists, student union leaders and lawyers were also among those detained.
The demonstrations were organized to demand the resignation of India’s Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, over allegations that voter-list revisions favored Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ruling party.

@IndexofGujarat My nana-nani live in a row house (Kutch), have separate water tank on terrace which one can fill anytime. When I used to visit as a kid, it was my duty to fill the tank. I'd block all the drainage pipes and let tank overflow and fill the WHOLE TERRACE so I can float paper boats.

🚨 Bengaluru-based Strider Robotics (@strider_robots) just demonstrated their M3 quadruped's ability to pull a Honda Amaze. The car had two passengers (one holding the handbrake for safety). Nobody was in the driver's seat and the engine was switched off.
