Fresh Attack Reported in Lasan;
A fresh attack was reported in the Lasan Kuki-inhabited area this morning at around 8:40 AM. local sources claines armed cadres of the NSCN-IM, in collaboration with the ZUF(K), carried out a coordinated assault in the area.The incident comes just three days after the killing of Pu Haogin of Lasan Village.

I remember how a Meitei lady wearing Phanek was parading mutilated body of a kuki , how a kuki individual was barbarically chopping farmers head from body, body of 3 year old Meitie kid floating in water , Kuki income tax officer burnt alive infront of people, Meitie lady telling men to rape a kuki girl .

I have seen a lot in this conflict with my own eyes , when it comes to Barbarism extremist from all ethnicity have shown their extreme . These barbarians do not represent whole society.

Weapons can be seized and removed, but how do you remove the hatred and dehumanization that communities develop towards one another? That underlying hostility is what truly needs to be confronted and addressed if lasting peace is ever to be achieved.

A strong govt protects its people wherever they are. A weak government looks for excuses.

Using agencies like ED and CBI to instill fear is easy amongst your own citizens. Showing courage when citizens are harmed is what truly tests leadership.

This man is a former IPS officer and former DGP of Manipur, yet he is referring to Kukis as “nomads,” despite the fact that Manipur’s previous DGP, P. Doungel, was himself a Kuki IPS officer who served with distinction before taking voluntary retirement in 2023.

When those who have held the highest offices indulge in such rhetoric, it only deepens divisions and fuels hatred from the top down.

This hostility is not going to solve anything in Manipur. Every community has contributed to the nation in its own way. The constant obsession with proving one tribe is superior to another has consumed the state, and the reality is that no community will emerge victorious from this race. The only thing increasing every day is the suffering of ordinary people and the body bags.
