I started using Go on November 10, 2009; 15 years ago. I was one of the first people to design production systems in Go (way before Go 1.0). I have built many systems with Go. I have ported Go to many platforms, and I have authored the Go arm64 and sparc64 compilers. If you run Go on the mac, blame me.

What made Go good in 2009, other languages have since caught up with (or better languages have spawned up). A lot of things that made Go good in 2009, either don't apply any more, or the Go leadership has forgotten about them. I have lost all confidence in the Go leadership. Go has transitioned from an independent team with a strong (and quirky) statement, to a blah corporate Google project with no personality and no ambition. It's a dead language, even Java sees more evolution today than Go.

Personally I don't find any reason in 2025 to start a new project in Go, and the idea of working on legacy Go systems fills me with dread.

That being said, there are still things that Go does better than the competition—many things even. It frustrates me to no end that better language ecosystems are too blind to see what those things are.

@aviasales Нигде не нашел суппорта, есть вопрос по сайту: как сделать та��, чтоб фильтры не слетали при каждой смене даты вылета? Если искать на период 2 недели, то мне надо 14 раз тыркнуть все 6 фильтров, т.е. 84 раза? Так себе юзабилити. Или я чет не понимаю?
