Shots from the final day of the Suva Zone 1 athletics competition that was held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Defending girls champion Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School dominated the track and field events while in the boys competition, Ratu Sukuna Memorial School put up a good fight to win most of the events over the two days.

Flight ASY1258 - operated by our Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner VH-ZNC on behalf of the Australian Government - has touched down in Sydney from Larnaca, Cyprus.

The flight brought home 220 passengers to Australia, with the Flight and Cabin Crew (four pilots and ten cabin crew), supported by a dedicated team of ground personnel, medical personnel & engineers.

The total distance of the flight was around 15,890km with a flight time of 16 hours and 30 minutes, slightly exceeding the distance of our Perth-London service, which is the longest on our network.

A second flight, ASY1270, is expected to depart Larnaca on Wednesday evening and arrive back in Australia on Thursday evening.

On behalf of the Australian Government, we will operate two non-stop flights between Larnaca, Cyprus and Sydney to help Australians in Lebanon return home free of charge. ​

The flights will be operated using Qantas Boeing 787s and will be able to carry more than 440 passengers, with the first service expected to depart Larnaca in Cyprus on Monday evening (local time), arriving in Sydney on Tuesday. The second direct Dreamliner service is expected to depart on Wednesday.

Record Breaking Golden Jump ✨🥇

Roko Uluiburotukula of International Secondary School not only jumped for Gold, he also jumped his way into the history books. Uluiburotukula set a new record of 1.75m in the Sub Junior Boys High Jump event. The previous record of 1.70m was set by Samuel Lockington of Xavier College in 2017.
