HISTORY CREATED BY BANGLADESH IN DARWIN 🇧🇩
Bangladesh's first-ever Test win on Australian soil!
Congratulations, @BCBtigers. What a dominant performance throughout. 👏
A big dent in Australia's WTC 2027 Final qualification hopes, and plenty of questions to answers.

I am not BJP. Nor Congress. Neither Sanghi nor Communist. Neither Left nor Right. Neither socialist nor capitalist. Neither liberal nor conservative. Neither Dalit nor Brahmin. Neither Jain, Buddhist nor Hindu. Neither Punjabi, Odia nor Ladakhi.
I am all of these, and more. Beyond all “isms”. I take the best from everything and leave the rest.
We diminish ourselves the moment we squeeze our infinite selves into man made buckets. Our deepest identity is not political, social, religious or ideological. It is consciousness itself.

I am deeply anguished to know that the legendary colour of the Indian hockey team’s jersey has been changed to saffron. The iconic shade of blue of the Indian hockey team is not just a colour. It is an emotion associated with the nation’s sporting heritage.
For decades, this colour united us in hope, in victory, in defeat and in the pursuit of sporting excellence. We have cried, laughed, celebrated and stood proudly with our men and women in blue. Wearing the blue jersey our teams have won Olympic medals with the national anthem playing on the world stage. #Blue is derived from the blue chakra in our national flag. It is a symbol of our national pride and identity. The colour blue belongs to every Indian.
When the national hockey teams were struggling for sponsors, #Odisha created history by being the first and only state to support our national teams and our beloved game. Every Odia across the globe was proud of the state’s gift to national hockey. After 41 long years, our men’s team won an Olympic medal. Just because the government changed in Odisha, it should not change our national team colours. This is petty politics of the worst kind.
Our blue jersey is to us what the iconic stripes are to Argentina and the yellow jersey is to Brazil. It is etched in our collective memory. Any change in this colour, is a crass attempt to erase our priceless sporting legacy. National symbols are meant to unite us not divide.
I am given to understand that this step was taken under pressure from the BJP Government in Odisha. Those in authority may deny it, but the fact is that for the last two years, everybody in Odisha has seen the obsession of this government with changing colours of buildings, buses and even bridges. It is the only work that is happening in Odisha today. But now the same government has changed the colours of our national team. I strongly condemn this attempt by BJP Odisha to politicise a national game like hockey. It has deeply hurt the sentiments of lakhs of sports lovers across the country and the pride with which Odisha has supported the national hockey.

Fascinating how the debate has evolved.💁🏻♀️
We seem to have moved from discussing excessive force, accountability and institutional failure to conducting a national seminar on Gen Z vocabulary.
Congratulations on a career you can be incredibly proud of, Ajinkya!
It has been an honour sharing the dressing room with you over the years; and building partnerships and memories on and off the field that will always fondly remember.
Wishing you and the family the absolute best in this next chapter.

@tanejamainhoon Very true. 💯
I wish people would channel their time and energy into asking the right questions of those in power, who are accountable for their actions, instead of witch-hunting someone, because their views don't align with their own ideology.
Be responsible and empathetic.
Liberal friends, please stop pitting the various leaders of the protests against each other. Dipke, CJP, Wangchuk, RG, Neha Bora, every one has their place and that's what makes for a strong opposition. No one is perfect, but the unity in the imperfect protest was the reason citizens got accountability.
It took the government 12 years for one resignation, the people in the opposition shouldn't be so enthusiastic to sacrifice a leader every 12 minutes.
Don't fall into that trap again. Let everyone do their bit. Support the ones you like, but don't spend so much time in pulling down the ones you don't. Spend that time on asking for more accountability from those actually in power.
This is Archita Sarangi, Daughter of BJP MP from Bhubaneswar , Aparajita Sarangi.
She is literally celebrating Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation even while being a BJP MP’s daughter.
This is courage and also shows the youth of this country hates BJP so much that even children of BJP leaders don’t like the party anymore.
Your work, your integrity, and your consistency have always spoken louder than the noise. Thank you for standing by your convictions.
This couple is truly a gem for India.💎🫶

The right people don't need an explanation, and the wrong people won't accept one.
You and your husband have consistently stood for compassion, truth, and the people, whether in Ladakh or in Delhi recently.
And...that speaks louder than any troll ever could.

To all the trollers: Stop confusing religion with spirituality.
Religion seeks followers. Spirituality seeks transformation.
Religion is an institution that defines identity, authority, and control. Spirituality is a deeply personal awakening that expresses itself through every thought, word, and action.
Politics infused with religion divides. Politics guided by spirituality unites and aspires to the ideal of the philosopher-king: one who serves with wisdom, compassion, restraint, and truth.
Sri Aurobindo said, "When it is said that India shall rise, it is the Sanatana Dharma that shall rise. India is rising for the sake of the Sanatana Dharma."
Sanatana Dharma is the bedrock of Indian civilisation. It was never meant to be a religion in the narrow, institutional sense, nor can any political party monopolise it. It is a way of being, a path of inner evolution, and a lived pursuit of Truth.
IT'S A VICTORY OF DEMOCRACY
direct democracy... straight from the streets.
It's a victory of peace, patience & persévérance.
Congratulations CJP, Gen Z of the nation and thank you all citizens for shedding fear and the fear of fear and rising up from every corner of the nation.
FROM ACCOUNTABILITY, NOW TO REFORMS
Hello Pratik,
The same question goes to you. Do you own @Wangchuk66 's & @GitanjaliAngmo thoughts and opinions?
What exactly did she say that was wrong? She spoke quite maturely. Her point was simple: this movement shouldn't be hijacked for personal political agendas or goals.
Hello @GitanjaliAngmo, do you and @Wangchuk66 own this movement that you feel that you can dictate how this movement should go forward? There were many other students who were also fasting at the same time, do you hear them talking in the same tone, as if they own the movement?
And what does it mean by don't politicise? Are political parties of this country not part of the democratic space of this country? @Wangchuk66 is quite happy to deal with BJP and their leaders, and break his fast in their presence. So, then which political parties are you talking about which shouldn't 'politicise'? Are you saying that the opposition parties should not participate in this moment?
And since when are ideologies not important? Did Gandhi not have an ideology? Did Nehru not have an ideology? Did Bhagat Singh not have an ideology? When BJP and its supporters are declaring the students who are protesting to be anti-national, is that not the output of an ideology? Are the textbooks that are being changed across the state not an output of an ideology? Are the RSS people who are being placed in every university and dictating how the universities should run not the output of an ideology? If you're saying that you care for the students, then you should also know that what the students are going through today is because of an ideology that has taken over the country.
In fact, the most central aspect of what is happening in India today, is a fight of ideologies.
At the peak of Nirbhaya protests in December 2012, then Chief Justice of India late Altamas Kabir and a sitting Supreme Court lady judge Gyan Sudha Misra had given rare public statements condemning the use of force against protestors and had supported the youth who had come out to register their anguish.
Late Justice Kabir had gone to the extent of saying that he wanted to join the protests, but his position prevented him from doing so.
Justice Misra had said she was breaking the judges self-imposed code of silence since rare situations demanded extraordinary responses.
Compare it to the current students agitation, not only has the Judiciary lowered its esteem in the eyes of the country's citizens by its judicial actions, but public utterances of lordships are irreparably damaging the institution.
