@iamsanatan_1@Jasonphilip8 Money spent for patients healthcare, doctors training is by product!
You can hire a professional for 50k/pm for 36 hrs shifts. Junior doctors runs healthcare system of country. Govt doesn’t hire enough doctors to cater masses. So dont blabber crores spent on doctors for training
They say govts 'spend lakhs' educating one medical student.
A lazy lie, repeated loudly on X.
Let me show u the real cost paid not in money, but in human life-hours. Effort. Emotions.
Yesterday, my MCh Urology residents walked in at 7 AM.
They rounded on inpatients, listened, reassured, examined, adjusted care.
Every pt, every need. No shortcuts.
Lunch was skipped. Coz,
a cadaver kidney donor had arrived.
They assisted in harvesting d kidneys, knowing there would be no pause, because a transplant cannot wait.
Dinner was skipped too.
At 1: 30 AM, I began the cadaver kidney transplant. They assisted carefully.
We finished at 5 AM.
Not a minute of sleep.
Not a blink of rest.
And yet by morning 8 AM they were back in the same OT, assisting routine surgeries again.
Coz pts were waiting.
Because duty does not care about exhaustion.
Post-OT, they rushed to OPD.
150 patients.
Catheters. Dilatations. Scans. Pain. Fear. Hope-handled gently, under pressure, without complaint.
Final ward rounds.
Only after all these, at 4 PM did he/she leave.
That is 36+ hours of continuous work.
No sleep.
Two skipped meals.
Sustained focus while handling lives.
These are not 22-year-olds chasing degrees.
They are 35-40 year old doctors, with spouses, children, ageing parents at home.
Their stipend?
₹62,000 per month.
In the middle of this, a saw a pt picking up a quarrel, demanding 'special' Rx, declaring himself a 'VIP'. In Tamilnadu, all pts r relatives of Donald Trump, or VIP- X,Y or Z.
This schedule repeats atleast twice every week.
When pilots do long hours, we call it fatigue.
When residents do it, we call it dedication,& move on.
So don’t insult us with nonsense about trillions spent on medical education. Doctors don’t get subsidised degrees.
They pay with their youth, sleep, health, and family life.
I walked this road decades ago.
My residents walk it today.
And if ur child chooses medicine, God forbid, U will finally understand what it costs.
Not money.
LIFE.
Hello @VictoriasSecret, your employee Afnaan Yousuf, Senior Product Manager in Bangalore, India, is posting anti-India content while supporting Pakistan.
She earns a salary in India while advocating for Pakistan. Terminate her immediately.
I got into MBBS in 2004.
In the last 20 years, I have seen many doctors protests.
I have never seen a protest like the one that is ongoing in West Bengal.
Usually doctors associations are unable to handle the pressure of authorities and give up after getting fake assurances.
WB residents have done what perhaps no one could do in decades.
Proud of you guys
@SyedF_official@MamataOfficial Those 29 deaths are propaganda. Some of these deaths were happened aat subdivisional hospitals where no junior doctors work! Its her propaganda to divert attention from police as criminal accomplice and corruption syndicate in medical colleges.
@glider057 @theDDixit@MamataOfficial Out of total 90k registered doctors in bengal 7.5 k are trainee
36 % of teaching post in govt med colleges are vacant
Reminder to the Doctors Across Nation :
The Doctors of West Bengal are still fighting for justice and needs our support
Everyone of you to kindly do at least 1 post In their support and show that we are united and still standing with them 🙏🏼
People are sending Thank you cards via instamart, senior doctors are sponsoring fans, even one of the bystanders were literally fanning the protesters(see video below) and numerous people, from old to young are joining in to seek justice for ABHAYA.
