@BrandyDo1 Everything you learn can be applied in some form or another later on. i.e. the critical thinking, scientific research, and analysis skills I developed are being used for spotting inconsistencies in the non-scientific things I review for work. #PoECap
@meghan_strom Not in particular, just be polite, prompt, responsive, and make sure to fulfill your responsibilities as best you can. Also ask questions, supervisors know and understand that it may be their interns first time doing an internship.
@AnnaLouiseMcKee For 2, peruse through past projects and read the titles and abstracts to get an idea of what they were about and check who the advisor was. If you’re interested in doing a similar topic reach out. Otherwise you could ask your profs for referrals/look through staff lists online.
@ddeegiizaya Browse linkedin, check the WA state government postings, you can also just google “[type of internship] in WA 2018” or something to that effect.
@EMaesner Depends on how you decide to use the experiences and (or) final products. I know it certainly helped me when it came to answering interview questions.

The product is important for sure but the experiences you gain can be applied for any sector.

1. Don't be afraid to ask questions, no matter how little or unrelated it may seem.
9. Make sure to figure out who else you can go to with questions at your internship, in case your site supervisor is not available.
10. Reflect. For those of you who are unsure about what sort of job you want in the future, this is your chance to gain some baseline info on
