@marcthiessen Elimination of "tax on tips" should be revised to "elimination of tax on unsolicited/prompted tips". Since COVID takeout boom, every eating vendor pay software "suggests" eg 20% "tip" whether service or (far less labor) takeout. Relief apply to NON-COERCED tips.
@jimgeraghty Jets need a QB, the best one likely available as FA for 2025 is..... Sam Darnold. He could fill in as a bridge till Jordan Love is ready to come to NY.
@SeanTrende The bloomin' onion is too big and too greasy. If they could offer a half size onion with less oily breading, it would win fans (the Texas Roadhouse version is better than the Aussies', though). I now prefer "onion straws" instead.
@jimgeraghty Tell Phil Klein that Robert Saleh was actually a pretty good coach, especially DEF. He just crashed on the inevitable shoals of looking for a QB, which is usually more about dumb luck (Brady, Romo, Brad Johnson, Brock Purdy, etc.) than brilliant coaching/development.
@jimgeraghty 1- Saleh scapegoat for Hacket,Rodgers. 2- Kalama prolly did work fries once. In fast food industry kids show up, work one shift, or week, hate it, and never come back. If she "did fries" that means she did only one thing- suggesting one shift. Skol Purple.
@MichaelRStrain RE "price gauging (sic) during emergency", 1) what is the definition of "emergency"? Such as releasing oil from the SPR because consumers are angry? Or is it the multiyear emergency that Biden used to prohibit tenant evictions long long after COVID was irrelevant?
@stevenfhayward RE pagers: the Taiwanese company that created and designed the pagers had licensed the design to another firm that built product in Hungary and sold to Lebanese buyers. I'd guess that relatively obsolete pagers are no longer a core business for the Taiwanese firm.
@RyanAMills77 Michael Bordkorb is a source to take seriously in a story about Mn GOP? Seriously? He did more to destroy it than even the idiots running things today. Oh for the days of sane people (Eibensteiner, Cooper, Pawlenty, et al)
@LukeBraunNFL I set the money aside last year, and never finished the sign-up because Patreon appears to do a no-notice autorenew. Where can I just sign up for a year, pay up front, without being autorenewed? And how does some of your stuff go inaccessibly behind Arif's paywall?
@LockedOnNetwork @LukeBraunNFL @lockedonvikings 3/ Cryofracture surgery in knees (seen a lot in basketball) replaces missing art cart with a kind of scar tissue, protects the bare bone surface. Here's hoping that JJMac is repaired and doesn't do a thing till Christmas.
@LockedOnNetwork @LukeBraunNFL @lockedonvikings 2/ Art cart generally comes off in chunks- "pitted". If meniscus is whole, bone ends- the art cart- don't impact and rub, wear out. If meniscus is thin or gone, art cart pits/wears off. Thus, we would prefer a full repair if the meniscus is not in tiny pieces, hard to stitch.
@LockedOnNetwork @LukeBraunNFL @lockedonvikings This is easier to understand if you explain what "knee arthritis" is- that is, the deterioration of the articular cartilage that covers the ends of the bone (femoral head and tibial plateau). When that articular cartilage wears off, the bones rub, and bare nerve ends are exposed.
@AudreyFahlberg Walz didn't "hold onto a rural district", it is a swing district that goes back and forth; Tim Penny was the rep for 10 years. It includes a bunch of lefty colleges- St Olaf, Carleton, U Minn Rochester, Mayo Clinic. Not really a farming community.
@jimgeraghty And, BTW, this is quite familiar to me, because my beloved has had the exact same symptoms for the last 3 years, and gets a pretty strong regimen of Sinemet. And notice that O'Connor carefully only referred to "levadopa". Not carbi-leva (Sinemet). No one takes plain levadopa.
@jimgeraghty Hmm. "tests had turned up “no findings which would be consistent with” Parkinson’s disease." Did Doc O'Connor forget that there is no test, period, for Parkinson's? It is diagnosed is by observing exactly the symptoms shown by Joe, then trying Sinemet to see if it improves.
