@LandersCurtis This really shows why 21st Century skills such as creativity and critical thinking are so important for our students to learn! I believe that with yourself as the facilitator, your students will brainstorm some innovative solutions! @LandersCurtis
@LandersCurtis Wow, thank you for sharing @LandersCurtis! This website contains some wonderful resources to assist with my unit covering #SDG3. Appreciate this!
@MitchBrandon6 I love resources that are tailor-made to kids! Makes our job as pre-service teachers that much easier! What a fun, interactive way to engage students with this very important issue of pollution in our marine environments!
@Daniel89839721 Some wonderful literature you have provided here @Daniel89839721! I will ensure that I consider these texts within my unit that also covers #SDG3
@Daniel89839721 This video also develops students' appreciation of the work that goes into getting their food onto supermarket shelves! A fascinating insight, particularly for students that may have never been to or experienced a farm before!
@Daniel89839721 Could not agree more @Daniel89839721! I believe it also highlights the importance of sustainability as the vegetables and plants replenish over time!
@Daniel89839721 Agree with this @Daniel89839721! I think it provides great stimulus for a collage activity that could integrate Creative Arts with PDHPE!
@Miss_Thompson22 Very interesting question posed @Miss_Thompson22! I believe Stage 2 would be fine as the indicator 'Students can recognise practices that prevent lifestyle disease' notes from the Stage 2 outcomes in the NSW PDHPE Syllabus.
@MitchBrandon6 Appreciate the kind words @MitchBrandon6! Absolutely, our students will have such a diverse range of learning needs and preferences, let us give all of our students the best chance at success! Best wishes on your journey!
The @NSWEducation 's 'Wellbeing Framework for Schools' resource provides a simple message of 'connect, succeed, thrive and enable'. I will look to replicate this message for inspiration within my unit of work.

@MitchBrandon6@NMNH I am always excited for some artistic inspiration, thank you for the share @MitchBrandon6! I will be sure to utilise some of these pieces when incorporating CA into my unit covering #SDG3
If students are provided consistent well-being support, along with increased education re physical activity ideas, this should lead to happier students at school. 'Interrelate' will aid my unit of work.

This paper indicates the emphasis that we need to start placing on the well-being and health of students, with increased focus on the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. This will assist my unit of work.

The 8 Aboriginal Ways of Learning will be incorporated into most if not all lessons within my unit of work as it closely aligns with the principles of the Quality Teaching Framework that underpins NSW public schools.

@JoshCrispin School communities can support this goal by breaking down barriers that students face when discussing their mental health concerns. All students deserve to have their voice heard and listened to.
This video indicates that globally we are not on track to decreasing by 1/3, the rate of premature mortality rates around the world due to non-communicable diseases. This is noted in Target 3.4 of #SDG3#WorldHealthDay#Educ4750#UoNTeach

An extremely engaging resource for educators sourcing for classroom resources when teaching concepts through #SDG3. How many global topics of discussion could this video generate?🌏#UonTeach#educ4750
Within my unit of work, I am thinking of choosing @NewsAtNESA's cross-curriculum priority of 'Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Histories and Culture'. My favourite Aboriginal based resource is the Yalunga: Traditional Indigenous Games. What is yours?
#Educ4750#UoNTeach
@HoskingMiss Absolutely @HoskingMiss! Under their 'Active Kids program, @ServiceNSW provides two $100 vouchers per child to parents, who can then use these to cover the costs of Little Athletics! What a great initiative to assist in providing equal access to participation for all.
De Bono's Thinking Hats is a great strategy that is useful in Stage 3 to promote higher-order thinking. I will also use TPACK and Gardner's multiple intelligences when constructing a research task, to allow all students the greatest chance at success. #Educ4750#UoNTeach
Love this idea @JoshCrispin! This looks very similar to a 'yarning circle', an aspect of one of the Aboriginal 8 ways of learning known as 'story sharing'. This demonstrates the relevance that Aboriginal pedagogies have within the current classroom #UoNTeach#SDG3#Educ4750
