Miksi en hyväksy milliäkään Venäjän myötäilyä? Tämän takia 👇 Venäläiset tekevät tätä huvin vuoksi ja heidän poliittisen johdon kannustamana. Venäjän kansa ei kollektiivisesti välitä tästä tippaakaan.
Teini-ikäinen poika, siis lapsi, kuoli muuten tähän.
🇪🇪🇺🇦 This is Kaja Kallas.
She was born in Tallinn in 1977 into a family that knew exactly what Russian occupation meant.
When Kaja’s mother was just six months old, Soviet authorities deported her family to Siberia. They spent years in exile before finally being allowed to return to Estonia.
Kallas grew up with that history.
She became a lawyer, entered politics, served in the European Parliament, and in 2021 became Estonia’s first female prime minister.
Then Russia invaded Ukraine.
And unlike many Western politicians who suddenly discovered Russia on February 24, 2022, Kallas never needed anyone to explain what Moscow was capable of.
Under her leadership, tiny Estonia became one of Ukraine’s strongest supporters. Its military assistance eventually exceeded 1% of the country’s GDP.
Her logic was brutally simple: every Russian weapon destroyed in Ukraine is one less weapon that can someday be used against Estonia.
Some people learn about Russian imperialism from books.
Kaja Kallas inherited the lesson from her own family.
That makes a difference. 🇪🇪🇺🇦
Why is it important to talk about OLESHKY ?
Because people there are starving, and russia is not allowing them to evacuate.
The international community needs to put prеssure on russia. And for that, we need to spread the word.
Please tag your leaders. Only together can we help.
Talk about Oleshky. Please don’t stay silent.
To put Russia's appetite for more land into the context it deserves by showing what they've done with the apparently insufficient land they already have, I decided to combine all my old and new travel guides through Russia's very posh cities into one colossal final thread.🧵
Kysyin Antti Lindtmanilta, millä SDP nostaa Suomen nousuun. Tässä vastaus:
-verot alas alle 90k tienaavilta
-kotitalousvähennys takaisin
-korjausrakentamiseen tukia
-ensiasunnon ostajille kannustimia
-suojaosat takaisin tukiin
-yrityksille rahoitusta
-piensijoittajille helpotuksia
-uusi aikuiskoulutustuki
-lisää koulutusta
-lisää julkisia toimia
-lisää “luottamusta”
Kuulostaa hyvältä, kunnes miettii sekunnin pidemmälle.
Mutta koko vastauksesta puuttui se olennaisin kohta:
kuka maksaa?
Ei yhtään tarkkaa leikkauskohdetta.
Ei yhtään menokuria.
Ei yhtään konkretiaa siitä, mistä rahat otetaan.
Tämä ei ole konkreettinen kasvustrategia.
Tämä on lista lupauksia ilman hintalappua.
SDP:n talouspolitiikka tiivistettynä:
kaikille jotain, maksaja myöhemmin.
Spoiler: maksaja olet sinä tai tulevaisuus velkana.
Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen says China’s close ties to Russia rule out any EU–China trade deal.
According to her, Beijing can’t back a war in Europe and expect business as usual.
This is the way.
Trump is once again groveling before Putin.
Russia has been invited to the G20 summit in the US, – Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin.
Inviting a country with 217,000 documented war crimes to the G20 summit in the US is not diplomacy – it's a disgusting trivialization of mass murder. While Putin and his cronies are already wanted in The Hague on arrest warrants, Trump grovels before the war-criminal state and rolls out the red carpet for it.
This is a disgrace, a slap in the face to every Ukrainian child, every raped woman, and every bombed city. Anyone who brings mass murderers to the table instead of bringing them to justice has lost all moral legitimacy and is spitting on the graves of the victims.
👀 Stopping the funding of Ukraine is one of the things I am most proud of — Vance
I don’t like writing about politicians because they are the bottom of society, but this is such a profound new low that it’s hard to remain silent. This is the Vice President of a country that pledged to protect Ukraine and gave security guarantees in exchange for our nuclear weapons, military aircraft, and missiles. This is a Vice President who is accused of working for Russia—a country that attacked Ukraine and wishes to destroy the USA.
To me, such a statement should already be a scandal in the US, leading not only to a resignation but also to a criminal case. By openly supporting the Russian agent Orbán, he effectively admitted to working for Russian intelligence services. Moreover, he actually collaborated with them, as those same services worked for Orbán. It would be quite strange if Vance wasn’t invited at their initiative, but instead came simply because of "friendship" with the Russian-aligned Orbán.
Ultimately, this is not just about one politician or a single funding bill. It is about the erosion of international trust. When the word of a superpower—guaranteed by treaties and the surrender of nuclear weapons—becomes a disposable political chip, the entire global security architecture collapses. Imagine how history would look back on politicians and nations that disarmed a country by giving security guarantees, only to take pride in betraying that nation when a Hitler-like aggressor attacked. I am becoming increasingly convinced that the current Trump administration is intentionally harming the United States. Otherwise, how else can their policies and rhetoric be explained?
At first, it seemed like mere trolling, because such a level of meanness and cynicism is hard to imagine outside of Russia. But now, it looks as though this Russian-style 'politics of madness' is being systematically integrated into the U.S. through the MAGA movement.
JD Vance accused Ukraine of “interfering” in elections in Hungary and the United States while speaking at a rally in support of Orbán. Apparently, only JD Vance has the right to interfere in elections in Hungary.
Personally, I still don’t understand how the United States ended up becoming a cheerleader for a Kremlin-backed candidate, effectively doing PR for Putin.
This is the same Orbán who serves as Putin’s main proxy in Europe. The man who has pushed Hungary toward becoming one of the most corrupt countries in the EU. The man who has blocked aid to Ukraine and is now obstructing a €90 billion EU support package for Ukraine.
Terrifying revelation. An expert journalist confirms Russian GRU military intelligence officers are operating freely in Budapest running massive disinformation campaigns. Shockingly the US Vice President is there right now singing from the exact same Russian hymn sheet!
Right then.
Let me explain something very slowly, because it appears some basic logic has gone missing somewhere over the Atlantic.
No serious nation in the history of warfare has spent fourteen months insulting its allies, threatening to annex their territory, siding with their common enemy, and then knocked on their door expecting them to come running to rescue a catastrophe of its own making. That is not how alliances work. That is not how anything works.
You abused the UK. You threatened Canada. You tried to grab Greenland. You called the EU an adversary. You praised Putin, the one man every serious NATO ally has spent decades preparing to fight. You hosted Kremlin officials in the Capitol. You undermined European elections. You abandoned Ukraine. You imposed tariffs on your closest partners. You did all of this loudly, proudly, and on camera.
And now you are surprised that nobody is returning your calls.
Here is a question worth sitting with. Why do you think that is? Is it possible, just possible, that when you treat your allies like enemies for over a year while cuddling up to their actual enemy, those allies might update their opinion of you? Is that concept too complicated? Does that require more working memory than is currently available?
You did not plan this war with your allies. You did not consult them. You did not build a coalition. You started a conflict, watched it go sideways, and then got on your knees asking for help from people you spent fourteen months calling weak, corrupt and irrelevant.
NATO is not what it was. Not because Europe changed. Because Washington made crystal clear which side it is on. And it is not ours.
You want European boots on the ground? Start by explaining why America is more aligned with Moscow than with Brussels. Take your time. We will wait.
Gandalv / @Microinteracti1
Let’s be absolutely clear about what just happened. The United States of America, the country that built NATO, that spent half a century telling Europe that Russia was the enemy, that asked young men from Normandy to Kabul to die for the idea of a free world, has now chosen Russia.
Not drifted toward. Not flirted with. Chosen. Trump calls Putin a genius. Cuts military aid to Ukraine mid-war. Blocks sanctions. Parrots Kremlin talking points about NATO aggression. Invites Lukashenko, Russia’s obedient attack dog, to found a peace board while Russian missiles are still hitting Ukrainian hospitals.
The continent that actually shares a border with this threat. That actually absorbs the refugees. That actually lives under the shadow of what happens when Russia decides a neighbor isn’t really a country. Europe was told for eighty years to trust Washington. To buy American weapons. To let American generals run the alliance. To believe that when it really mattered, America would be there.
It wasn’t there!
It picked the other side and sent an invoice.
Normal Americans, the ones who actually believe in something, should understand what this looks like from here. It looks like betrayal. Clean, deliberate, and permanent. Not a misunderstanding. Not a bad week in foreign policy. A choice.
Europe is building its own army, its own supply chains, its own future.
Because one man wanted to golf with autocrats.
Gandalv / @Microinteracti1
Sanctioned Russians arriving in DC to present another aid package to the Trump family bank accounts in exchange for continuing to cut off and pressure Ukraine into surrendering. European had better wake up.
Three weeks ahead of the Hungarian elections, the president of the United States is now recording messages of support for the pro-Russian Hungarian autocrat Viktor Orbán, the man who has managed to turn Hungary into the EU’s most corrupt and second poorest country.
Europe told Trump and Vance, clearly and seriously, that Russia’s war against Ukraine and its hybrid warfare campaign across the continent represents the greatest security threat Europe has faced since 1945. Europe said this as a NATO ally. As a partner of seven decades. As a bloc that has housed American bases, funded American adventures, and sent its sons to die in American wars without much complaint.
Trump and Vance looked at this and said: not our problem. It’s happening on your continent. We have important things to attend to. The important things turned out to be nothing. There were no important things. There was golf, there was television, and there was a remarkable amount of time spent being angry about things on the internet.
Then, approximately some months later, the same administration announced it intended to seize Greenland. A sovereign territory. From a NATO ally. By force if necessary.
So to summarise: defending Europe from an actively invading nuclear power is not America’s problem. Illegally annexing a Danish island in the Arctic is apparently a matter of urgent national interest. Now. If anyone in the MAGA universe is sitting there expecting Europe to provide diplomatic cover, logistical support, intelligence sharing, or a single sympathetic press release for whatever America is currently doing in the Middle East, I have some news for you.
You told us you weren’t our allies. We were listening.
You don’t get to turn the alliance on and off depending on which direction the aggression is pointing. That is not how it works. That is not how any of this works.
Europe will not be helping. Europe will be watching. You made that bed. Enjoy it.
