Mein Ausbilder in der Grundausbildung war Oberfeldwebel, russischstämmig. Damals, als wir in unseren Ausbildungsszenarien noch ganz klassisch „Grünland gegen Rotland“ spielten, erklärte er uns die russische Kriegsführung.

Er sprach von einer brutalen Logik: Zivilisten nicht nur als Kollateralschaden zu betrachten, sondern Gewalt gezielt einzusetzen, um die Moral des Gegners zu brechen. Besonders sexualisierte Gewalt gegen Frauen und Mädchen, Demütigung und die anschließende Exekution von Männern – vor den Augen ihrer Familien – gehören zu den Formen von Gewalt, die aus russischen Kriegen und Besatzungen immer wieder berichtet und dokumentiert wurden.

Heute sehen wir in der Ukraine erschreckende Belege dafür. In besetzten Gebieten wurden Frauen und Mädchen Opfer sexualisierter Gewalt - systematisch und massenhaft. Männer wurden gefoltert und exekutiert. In Butscha wurden nach dem Abzug russischer Truppen zahlreiche getötete Zivilisten gefunden, auf den Straßen, in der Hocke mit Kopfschüssen hingerichtet. Und Zehntausende ukrainische Kinder wurden nach Russland oder in von Russland kontrollierte Gebiete verschleppt bzw. deportiert um die „Umvolkung“ zu gewährleisten.

Das sind keine abstrakten militärischen Lehrbuchszenarien. Hinter diesen Begriffen stehen Familien, deren Männer gezwungen wurden, ihre Angehörigen leiden zu sehen, bevor sie selbst getötet wurden.

Und dann höre ich AfD-Politiker sagen: Der Feind sitze nicht in Moskau, sondern in Brüssel oder Berlin.

Da wird mir erneut klar, wie weit diese Partei bereit ist, die Realität zu verdrehen.

Ein Staat führt einen imperialistischen Angriffskrieg gegen ein europäisches Nachbarland – und ausgerechnet diejenigen, die uns seit Jahrzehnten als „Feindbild Russland“ vorwerfen, erklären plötzlich die eigenen demokratischen Verbündeten zum Feind.

Wer angesichts von Butscha, Folter, sexualisierter Gewalt, Deportationen und der systematischen Zerstörung ukrainischer Städte Moskau zum vermeintlichen Partner und Berlin oder Brüssel zum Feind erklärt, hat nicht einfach eine andere außenpolitische Meinung.

Er hat jedes moralische Koordinatensystem verloren.

Umar Kremlev didn’t exist in 2009. A guy named Umar Lutfulloyev did. Late 20s, Serpukhov thug, two convictions — extortion in 2004, beating the shit out of people in 2007. Taxi work, construction, “security.” The usual starter pack.

Then he walks into a registry office in 2010 and becomes Umar Kremlev. Cleaner last name. Cleaner paperwork. Convenient.

He hangs with the Night Wolves, Putin’s favorite biker gang, and lucks into a friendship with Alexei Rubezhnoi — the man who runs the president’s personal security. That’s the whole origin story. Not a brilliant businessman. A guy who found the right bodyguard.

Rubezhnoi puts him in charge of the Russian Boxing Federation. Then Kremlev takes the International Boxing Association, the one the IOC kicked out of the Olympics for being a dumpster fire. Gazprom money shows up. Prize pots get huge. Everyone pretends not to notice the smell.

Meanwhile the real money arrives. Putin’s government hands him the sports betting market. His companies end up behind Fonbet, Pari, Liga Stavok. His outfit becomes the single accounting center for every legal bet in Russia. National lottery too.

That’s not hustle. That’s the Kremlin picking a guy with a rap sheet and giving him an entire industry because he’s useful and loyal. He even said it out loud: unlimited opportunities thanks to one person, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

So when this guy drops six figures on a private island and fireworks for Don Jr.’s wedding, it’s not “a generous friend who loves boxing and hunting.” It’s a twice-convicted Putin cutout buying access to the president’s kid.
