A critical security incident has been confirmed affecting the @TrustWallet Browser Extension, with over $6M - $7M already drained from hundreds of users.
The vulnerability was linked to a "supply-chain attack" in the December 24 update (v2.68), where malicious code was embedded to steal seed phrases immediately upon import.
✅ WHAT TO DO NOW:
* Check your version: If you are on Browser Extension v2.68, disable it immediately.
* Update: Upgrade to v2.69 only via the official Chrome Web Store.
* Good news: Mobile-only users and other extension versions are NOT affected.
* Action: If you entered your seed phrase into v2.68, migrate your funds to a new wallet address immediately.
💀 Hard Truth: Software wallets are convenient, but for portfolios >$1,500, a Hardware Wallet is no longer optional it's a necessity. Don't let your "wrapped" year end in a loss.
