@KiranBalak The word "Isila" in the edict is considered as one of the earliest kannada words found in India. The word neither exists in Prakrit, nor in Tamil. It is specific to kannada. It means ಕೋಟೆ, if I'm not mistaken. Had read about it while studying evolution of Dravidian languages.
