12/17: Grateful to drive over to my aunt and uncle’s house for Christmas, knowing 50+ people on my Dad’s side of the family are inside… and that my 94 year old grandpa dressed up as Santa for his great grandkids. I am simultaneously lucky and undeserving of so much goodness. 🤍
12/16: Grateful to be able to see my husband’s family every other weekend in Wisconsin while his sister goes through chemo. Also, who doesn’t love a baby sink bath?!
12/14: Grateful for a morning spent at a Polish (another part of mine and my daughter’s heritage) market and deli in my old Minneapolis neighborhood with my sister-in-law, mom, one of my nephews, two of my nieces, and my daughter.
12/12: Making St Lucia buns (lussekatter) with my sister-in-law, two nieces, and my daughter at our house in the afternoon, and then having an impromptu almost-whole-family-hang at her house in the evening.
12/10: Grateful to be able to incorporate some Scandinavian parenting into our girl’s life, like napping outside in the fresh, winter air.
(Disclaimer:I took this picture and then immediately went back to her in the stroller, and she was appropriately dressed for the weather.)
12/3: Grateful our daughter is such a great traveler. She spent an entire 2.5 hour flight taking a snooze and peacefully playing with a plastic water bottle instead of any of her toys.
(Catching up)
12/2: Grateful for my husband who indulged me in driving way out to a Christmas tree farm to cut our own tree and wasn’t bothered by me taking approximately 1,000,000 photos.
