This month during our argumentative reading & writing units, 5KW Huskies are deciding whether we should keep or remove the Salt Creek Dam at Graue Mill. Today we got to hear both sides on our #FieldTrip to @dupageforest #FullersburgWoods and @GraueMillMuseum 🌲📝

First stop at #FullersburgWoods @dupageforest for some stream monitoring with our Naturalists. Water quality was “fair” to “poor” so we wonder if removing the dam would help the macroinvertebrates that we got to see today.

Our next stop was @GraueMillMuseum where we were able to appreciate the history of the grist mill & Underground Railroad station. Should we still remove the dam knowing that it’s such an important part of history?
