昭和世代では、当たり前だった言葉です。

公園の芝生、砂場、コンクリート。

子供たちが歩くたびに「あ、冷たい」「これチクチクする」と、いちいち声を上げる。

そんな言葉が聞こえてくると、こんなに足の裏って敏感なんだと、あらためて気づかされました。

昭和の子どもは、公園も川も砂浜も、これを毎日裸足でやっていた。

今は靴の性能が上がり、道は舗装され、そういう機会が減っています。

安全面ではいいことです。
ただ、失っているものもある。

自分の子育てを通して気づいたことがあります。

足裏の感覚は、体の土台をつくるだけじゃない。
脳と体をつなぎ、運動神経を育てる入り口です。

運動神経は、生まれ持った才能じゃないと思っています。

足裏からの膨大な感覚入力を通して、脳と体が情報をやり取りし続け、神経ネットワークが少しずつ築かれていく。
