1. It has come to my notice that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) obtained a court order on August 5, 2026, freezing the accounts of the Osun State Government.

2. I must state that I feel deeply embarrassed not by the EFCC's exercise of its mandate backed by a court order, but by the timing of the agency's action. This is so because every action taken by an institution of State, especially at the Federal level, is always credited to me, as the President, even when I may not have had any prior knowledge of the action.

3. Since assuming office, I have consistently maintained that anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies must be allowed to discharge their statutory responsibilities independently, professionally, without fear or favour, or political interference. I have therefore deliberately refrained from directing or interfering in the operational activities of the EFCC or any other investigative or prosecutorial agency because I firmly believe that strong democratic institutions, operating within the confines of the law, are indispensable to democratic good governance and the rule of law.

Under the law, the right of the parents to administer the deceased estate is third in line, the spouse and children take priority.

Refusing to admit a child because of their religion is what amounts to discrimination.
Where a parent voluntarily enrols a child in a faith-based school, they are accepting the school’s religious ethos and rules, including its dress code. They waived the right to complain.

Exceptionally, it is worse to go to ROME to advocate for your home country's culture.

Similarly, if you want to dress in accordance with your religion, it makes sense to go to places where you are allowed.

This is a great fix. But, this is effectively a "give Caesar Caesar's" fix.

Each kid was first Nigerian before they were students. Naturally, they should enjoy every right and freedom that comes with being a Nigerian.

They should be free to dress fundamentally as Christians or as Muslims.

I attended an Islamic secondary school. Christians were (are) allowed and the girls were (are) not coerced to wear hijab. They wear Christian-aligned cover. The guys were not forced to wear a cap. I never wear one myself.

I do think it is ok for schools to strictly define whether it is a Christian or Islamic school. I also think it is ok for such a school not to admit a Christian or Muslim at all.

Admission is consent to the religion of such children and their respective acceptable code of dress.
