@LeadingReport you can not like charlie kirk thatโs fine, but at the end of the day thatโs a father and husband anybody celebrating this is disgusting
Iโve spent all July at AAU tournaments and I think a lot of kids have the game confused. Basketball IQ Is definitely at an all time low.
The best player on the floor will make everyone else around them better. Itโs not about dropping 30 points or highlight tapes. If youโre talented, that stuff will take care of itself.
High school recruitment is at an all time low right now so itโs more important than ever to know how to play the game the right way. Drive and kicks, advancing the ball, extra passes, communication, reading screen coverages, etcโฆ
For the kids: Ignore outside voices and trust your coaches who are preaching to you to play the right way.
Unless your AAU team has Division I prospects you SHOULD NOT, in my opinion, ever be playing games 5+ hours from your home state.
The draw of "circuits" along with the inability of coaches/parents/players to evaluate their own level is actively HURTING the recruitment of players
After much consideration and prayer, I have decided not to return to Franklin College in the fall. I am looking forward to new opportunities to continue my academic and athletic career!
We have a team starting:
6โ7 @Nate_Coen
6โ7 @hofwright
6โ7 @jarettsimpson
6โ5 @zachhutchins0n
6โ2 Michael Stigall-Whiting
There are colleges that wish they had they size in their starting lineup
2026 @Nate_Coen is a sleeper prospect out of Lexington. Young for his class and could benefit from a post grad year and move to 2027 eventually. Very skilled and VERY athletic.
Never should they be a situation where a team can build an all star lineup in high school basketball with transfers but a kid who doesnโt get any play time on there high school team not be found eligible if he finds a opportunity where he can.
Some kids parents will sell the farm and move so they can get eligibility, we all know itโs happening.
ALL kids who are not getting play time as a high school Sophmore or Junior on varsity should have the ability to transfer with no questions asked.
Itโs known that some high school coaches play kids a few mop minutes to kill eligibility. Itโs a fact !!
Congrats to @KyFuture2024 alumni @HamptonReshaun on his commitment to play at Tennessee Wesleyan at the next level!
Super proud of you!!
