there was a time I was embarrassed about having supportive family, that is a privilege & a luxury I was just ignorant and immature. So grateful for how hard they worked just so I can have not only a better but an easier life, especially as black people more of that pls
Here are some of the songs I've been listening to this summer. It starts with a song Michelle and I love by Glen Hansard, a great musician who passed tragically this week. Our hearts go out to his family.
Thank you @cosmopolitan for allowing me to express this full circle moment! From playing with Barbie dolls as a little girl to having my own-wearing my signature Reebok shoes. Getting to put that doll in little girls' hands All-Star weekend, share that moment with the Boys & Girls Club and watch their faces light up, that's the dream. I can't wait to see all of you with your Angel Barbie Dolls💗

I definitely subscribe to the idea that no one will love you exactly how you want to, which is why you must love yourself the way you desire to round out the differences.
So the HBCU dress code conversation should cease. You shouldn’t want to wear a bonnet or pajamas outside of your home anyway. The way you present yourself matters, and there’s nothing wrong with institutions having standards for certain spaces.
Idk but I loveeee the girls that have the cellulite or whatever on the back of their legs. It’s sexy to me. Like stretch marks. I love stretch marks but I don’t have any. 😍
