@TaraBull808 For me, it's 1 part of the Unholy Trinity.
Septum ring
Buzzed sides
Unnaturally dyed hair
Any 1 on their own is a red flag for crazy.
2 means you should remove yourself at your earliest opportunity.
All 3 should send you running as fast as possible in the opposite direction.
@mhar0905@StrabonHierax@LifuLifuVT If you're going to accuse me of a "white supremacy phrase," quote it and prove it, or stop the emoting. You don't know me, and you're doing exactly what you accused the other guy of doing to you: assuming bad motives instead of engaging the actual argument.
@mhar0905@StrabonHierax@LifuLifuVT Emotional incontinence is not the same as empathy or having a good heart. Gay peoples' existence throughout history has nothing to do with false claims of Nazism, voter ID, Europeans hating Americans, or anything else in this thread.
You're simply emoting and pivoting.
Yeah there are a lot of people these days who seem to think "nazi" is a contraction for "one who does nazi your point of view." Or they're historically illiterate and trying to falsely attribute the label of the worst people in history to a contemporary group of people to score points.
@ShaneSchaetzel Romans 1:32 (Douay-Rheims): Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.
To me, "lesser eugenics" has something in common with terms like "reverse discrimination/racism," and "soft bigotry" (e.g. soft bigotry of low expectations):
To see what you're actually doing, take away the modifier word (soft, reverse, lesser) and take a good look at what's left.
There are contexts where modifiers matter. When it comes to human life, I make no distinction.
@Cfrosted19@singhisking1229@Asmongold@McJuggerNuggets You're attacking an extension of the analogy and not the actual point.
What you're talking about with the diseased foot, when extended to human life, is eugenics. Killing babies in the womb because they're not genetically ideal is eugenics.
I am against eugenics.
Yes, that was exactly my point.
Imagine you and I are at a gun range. I suddenly, without warning, point the gun at my own foot and pull the trigger, blowing a massive hole in my foot. No mistake, no coercion, pure free will.
While a small part of you may feel bad for me because you can tell it hurts, I believe you wouldn't feel much sympathy for me since all I had to do to avoid this pain and trauma was not do the very obvious thing that caused it.
That's where I'm at with this.
Yes, and it's not as big of a deal when it's going from old to young, especially when it's after the old one passes. When it's going from young to old with no guarantee that the young will be able to get in on it, that's where the problem lies.
Also, one is a private transaction from a citizen to a designated beneficiary; the other is a transaction brokered by the government enforced via the threat of force for non-compliance.
This isn't even getting into the basic math that is our birth rate. Social Security is designed so that current workers pay for current retirees. We are not reproducing enough to keep the system solvent without taxing current/future generations more for promises made almost 100 years ago.
@no3rdworlders@ChristianHeiens On the condition that we extend this to any government aid that isn't short-term unemployment. If you're effectively a ward of the state, you don't get to vote on where the money goes.
