If you're so concerned about your daughter being anxious and scared, try working for a world where she need not be. Or you can tell her how you opposed aid to all the children of Ukraine while demanding thanks from the man fighting to save them.
I think if you're using your toddler as a shield to avoid accountability for your spewing traitorous propaganda, you're a shit person.
They aren't chasing your 3-year-old, JD. Take responsibility for your own choices and their predictable impact on your family.
#SlavaUkraini
Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared.
I decided to speak with the protesters in the hopes that I could trade a few minutes of conversation for them leaving my toddler alone. (Nearly all of them agreed.)
It was a mostly respectful conversation, but if you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a shit person.
@GregLeding It's hard to be lazy and comfortable when someone holds up a mirror.
These are the mumblings of the disillusioned who have given up, but still feel guilty about their surrender. Your effort challenges their notion of hopelessness, and refuses to excuse complacency. Keep it up.
@GregLeding So, that means the budget is a little more than $2000 per Arkansan, on average... So the lectern cost ::checks notes:: 10 tax payers annual share. That's the entire population of Walcott. (Or Princeton and Gilbert put together.)
How much of the "suburban experiment" really was just segregation and white flight?
I don't know the answer. But the timelines makes me wonder... Is this one of those narratives lost to a system so ingrained in our modern reality that nice white gentility can't remember it?
Listening to the @StrongTowns "Unraveling the American Suburbs" episode. Got me thinking as usual... @clmarohn says even if there were no racial differences, we'd still have the suburban experiment pushing down the poorest even further... But would we?
The Supreme Court's recent rulings were sadly predictable for anyone who understands the hard-right agenda. Their goal has always been to install Justices whose job is to turn back the clock on our freedoms, on decades of constitutional decisions, and on our continuing struggle to “form a more perfect union” that includes all of us.
Let's vote out their political enablers and rein in the dark, subversive money that supports them in their quest to reverse a century of progress.
So few cases ever make it to the #SCOTUS. It sure is a funny coincidence how the guys taking Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito on trips keep ending up among them. 🤔
@Hilabs68@GregLeding Except that's exactly what happened... #FactCheck@nwaequality restricts the youth zone to kids grades 6+ and verified , trained volunteers who have passed a background check. Parents have a waiting area.
@walton_arts insisted on letting unverified adults mix with teens.
@alexahenning There are 5x as many dermatologists (AAD), 3.5x as many podiatrists (@APMA) twice as many sleep specialists (@AASMorg), and 4x as many nephrologists (@ASNKidney) as your little right-wing political group and frankly I'd take their opinions on gender issues before your @AAPSonline
