@CharmainKB16 @KristajSharpe Yeah but by the same token can you admit that just because one jackass man does something that doesn't somehow magically make all men alive responsible for his being an asshole? Both parties are overreaching. The point here is that the speaker is an asshole, not half the planet.
@Aizza62560598 @PWInkler2@SarahBaska the cops didn't "make their bed," she promised the protest would be peaceful and then they falsely imprisoned people and committed violence and property damage. Peaceful means lawful, otherwise it's just a riot.
@AWKWORDrap @JoshuaPotash Wait so are all cops bastards or not? Why would you want the bastards to defend you, I thought all cops needed to die according to Antifa?
@BoliNica@CatoInstitute So just to be clear which party did those segregationists, who never switched parties, belong to? I'll give you a hint it's not libertarian or Republican, and it starts with a D.
@vainglorystatus I hate this with every fiber of my being. Just give us back basic sound controls in settings. I literally never am in the mood to listen to your music.
@BoliNica@CatoInstitute It takes more than 5 senators to pass a bill, and seeing as only 5 southern Democrats EVER changed parties its clear to me this was a progressive goal.
@Joseph100960@CatoInstitute That only ever happend to 5 senators in the entire 20th century. Google it, they have a record of every Congressman who has ever switched parties either way. What about the remaining ones?

@lakesideliberal @CatoInstitute Yes they did lol. The government came first. They clearly acted in isolation from the banks that would exist 100+ years later. Remember slavery was made legal first and then 100ish years later those companies accepted the slaves as collateral. The Government acted in isolation.
@lakesideliberal @CatoInstitute Fair enough. All I'm saying is when you compare the evil done by those two companies to the government who actually made slavery LEGAL and then made Jim Crow LEGAL who is the real villian of the story?
@lakesideliberal @CatoInstitute Its called google bro try it. Literally the first thing you find is an article exaplaining that the companies took slaves as collateral, and then LATER BoA buy them. Or put another way BoA didn't do anything themselves.
@gmiller I like how the article conflates progressivism with democracy as if progressivism is the source of democracy and not the root cause of the present situation.
@lakesideliberal @CatoInstitute The part where 1) they didn't lol someone else did and 2) slavery was OVER when they bought the company. So how can you accept slaves as collateral if you didn't do it and slavery was ALREADY ILLEGAL.
@lakesideliberal @CatoInstitute So buying a company that formerly owned slaves is the same as buying slaves? That's really your argument? That buying actual living slaves is the same as buying a company that used to own them? There is 0 record of BoA buying slaves directly.
@lakesideliberal @CatoInstitute Bank of America bought out banks that did true, but that's different than doing it themselves. Good fond either way though. Still pales in comparison to the fact that it was the government that made slavery LEGAL, the government who made Jim Crow LEGAL.
