Becoming a brand is so important for programs to achieve sustained success; especially in today’s environment of NIL. Dillingham and Rossini have been able to truly captivate some of ASU’s brand potential. They can take ASU to heights we haven’t seen before
Kenny Dillingham on ASU's upward rise to national recognition:
"We're becoming a brand ... When you can get this national recognition in a college that's in one of the best cities in the country, I think it shows we have a little small town feel in a big city, which is rare."
I am surprised I haven’t seen a Maserati / ASU NIL deal not happen with a top Sun Devil athlete yet. A perfect fit with the logos and tons of creative potential
Lamborghini / Texas got it done
Recent history suggests we are competitors in recruiting
@WillNovak13 Interesting
I was always told alumni and older boosters didn’t like a cartoon character / devil representing the university prompting the switch
Curious to know what the true story is behind the switch
Sparky will always be the face of ASU
No disrespect to the pitchfork. It’s the sign of our University
When it comes to branding, Sparky brings the “swag” amongst the younger generation and is a more distinguishable logo
Many teams have a pitchfork logo; there’s only one Sparky
Pitchfork or Sparky?
Kenny Dillingham just weighed in heavily with his opinion. I tend to think a majority of fans agree.
Dillingham: "Every time you saw top-four teams in the country and top-four playoff teams, you saw the pitchfork right there (on the graphic). Who knows if we'll eventually make that Sparky instead of a pitchfork. That's probably a deeper conversation, I don't know. Just throwing that out there.
"I'm a big Sparky guy."
