@KyleBrownHD12 “Our bill would help stabilize the insurance market to blunt premium increases & protect 20k Coloradans’ access to coverage. Only Congress can prevent massive rate increases, and I urge them to act as soon as possible to preserve affordable health care options.” - Rep. Kyle Brown

📣Encouraging news from Colorado: Governor Polis @jaredpolis has signed HB25-1271—a critical first step in protecting the federal benefits of children in foster care.
We’re deeply grateful to @LindsGilchrist, @KyleBrownHD12, @dafna_m, Sen. Lindsey Daugherty, and Jennifer Mello for their tireless advocacy and unwavering commitment to Colorado’s most vulnerable children. Their leadership made this progress possible—and we’re proud to stand with them.
While encouraged, we know this is only the beginning.
🚨The law does not yet protect the federal benefits of children with disabilities, who are equally deserving of the state’s protection. We encourage the legislature to press on and enact legislation to protect the benefits of all children in care.🚨
Let’s keep going—until all children’s benefits are protected.

CHA was pleased to partner with @SenKirkmeyer and @Kyle_Mullica, @ShannonBird4CO and @KyleBrownHD12, and other stakeholders in support of SB25-290, which will provide much needed funding to safety net health care providers. While there is more to do, this was an important step.
In the wake of the Medicaid "unwind" and despite a tough budget environment, Colorado lawmakers took a stand to prioritize Colorado's health care safety net this legislative session.
Thank you, @SenKirkmeyer, @Kyle_Mullica, @ShannonBird4CO and @KyleBrownHD12 for your leadership in spearheading SB25-290 through the legislature.
Taxpayers are the largest purchaser of firearms in America as tax dollars are used to buy firearms for law enforcement.
The problem: some of those tax dollars go to firearm dealers that have violated laws and regulations meant to protect the public.
HUGE VICTORY IN CO: State Agency Procurement (SB25-158) passed through the house and is on its way to the Governor’s desk!
This is the first bill of its kind to pass out of a state legislature. But what does it do? Let’s break it down:
@KyleBrownHD12 "This bill provides immediate, short-term support to our safety providers so our community members can receive the health care they need." - Rep. @ShannonBird4CO.
“Our health care safety net providers that take care of our low-income, older, and vulnerable community members are in crisis,” - Rep. @KyleBrownHD12.
