@codav023@MichiganPalmist Suffocate, whiner. We never treated our neighbors so badly when Washington and California megafires were blowing smoke up the Vancouver coast - we sent aid to help you put out the fires.
@Saysera69@Schaewn frankly the notion Daima is activating new fans is a little silly given the stead decline in Dragonball film/animation earnings. It had very theming to go with Sparking Zero overall. it was a high quality nostalgia product that marked an anticipated to the Budokai format.
@Saysera69@Schaewn with all due respect, this is fanboy wishful thinking. Daima, a brand new DB anime, was outearned in the quarter where it was competing against One Piece while it was playing the Fishman Island re-runs. You can see the break down yourself in the quarterly financial reports
@Saysera69@Schaewn not that means Daima did bad, but it certainty suggests that Dragonball anime projects is a declining part of Toei's business and probably largely why Toei prioritizes One Piece animation initiatives over Dragonball.
@Saysera69@Schaewn 2024/early '25 Dragonall profits from both companies are largely from the haul collected from Sparking Zero. You can see it in Toei's fiscal report break down in domestic/overseas licensing. In the quarterly earning category for anime, Daima lost to Fishman Island re-runs.
@SonVictor33@Schaewn Brand new Dragonball anime, at long last, Toriyama's final contribution to Dragonball... Was out earned by Fishman Island reruns. Strength of Dragonball earnings was Sparking Zero, which is a great fighting game, good for them.
@SonVictor33@Schaewn It's a legacy brand that sells merch like Mickey Mouse. A reminder that anime vs anime earnings, Daima lost to Fishman Island re-runs.
