@Scarecrohh It’s the emblems. Because these magic rings exist that give you immense power Elyos has no war culture outside of them, and since the heroes inside the rings are all from different games with their own stories, Elyos is an empty, culture-less world that exists as arena setting
@offbeatorbit Probably a small exclusive ceremony somewhere else and MSG is the reception where everyone is invited because it’s the PR event of the decade
@KappEpsiThet I dont agree with that guy that wants a non teenage persona game but I do understand why someone would like persona and not SMT since the modern persona series is an interactive shonen anime and mainline SMT is a dungeon crawler monster catcher with a focus on individual morality
@discodivekick I don’t agree with this take fully but one thing about these games is that they are deeply cynical and carry the over all message that the only change you can make in this world is in yourself or immediate relations. Anything else is man’s unconscious desire for subjugation
@kzzrttt Persona “fans” are the only people who play games about the collective unconscious of man being its own destruction (arguably, because of the influence of capitalism and Japanese conservatism) and don’t understand anything beyond dungeon boss = bad guy
@illiterateprole Like I think Persona 5 Strikers is a fun game but both the female Villains in that game have the crime of not being maternal. Both of which are later redeemed by being maternal, one is even taught how to be human by being given a child (the AI Sophie)
@illiterateprole Yeah I love the series and I don’t necessarily think these are the intended meaning behind these choices, rather what was best for their narrative, but yeah a psychoanalysis of the story shows that the writing staff have a very limited view on women
@ascensionpost It’s kinda funny how Jungian the franchise is, & despite the fact that 5 is the one that delves deepest into the Jung, it’s also the most Freudian of all of them. Even 3 which is about man’s desire for death, and 4 about the construction of the Ego, are less Freudian than 5
@illiterateprole Sae’s punishment is to suppress any desires and return to the role of the mother whereas all the fathers have to be forcibly removed. Gets even more Freudian when this is all revealed to be caused by mankind’s collective subconscious desire for submission (2/2)
@illiterateprole It’s interesting because Futaba was able to placate her Id (shadow) and Superego (real world self) and create her Ego (Persona) by denying the cognitive dissonance around her mother, whereas Sae’s Id was convinced to submit to her Superego through guilt (1/2)
@ZinogreVolt I get that. I think I see it this way since every final boss is the manifestation of mankind’s unconscious desire for pacification, that ultimately even by defeating it the protagonist erase that and the only thing they can do is change their immediate connections/inner world
@fluffybiscuit03 You would think fans of a game series called “Persona” would understand every game has the theme of “Their is no one true self” and even without knowing the concept of the Id, they would read the social links that are all “I accept that I am more than just one aspect of me”
In hindsight I shouldve known that austerity would be pushed on the young working generations while the eldest incapable of accepting their time is over pretends they lived in poverty during the country’s prosperous decades. Anyway fraggle rock my fellow draftees/labor campers🤘
