@JonesOnTheNBA The mavs had more leverage than they played. With LeBron now 40, and AD exiting his prime years, and no tradable picks till 29, the lakers were headed into purgatory. I think they should have gotten another pick and a swap out of the deal.

@JonesOnTheNBA One of those years was also a COVID year where no fans were allowed. The rebuild started before, but they got lucky that a pandemic coincided with a tank to mitigate some of the losses in comparison to other teams.
