I curated a 14-day #safe roads for school children campaign here. Kudos to everyone who took part to make everyday school journeys safe for Ugandan children. Check it out here: https://t.co/zceCt6OmvH

I have instructed comrade @AndrewMwenda not to speak about the issues of Tooro again. He will stop it immediately. Once again, as PLU we commiserate with the great Batooro people on the tragedy that befell all of us. May the soul of the late King Oyo rest in peace.
Day 13: #Small actions matter: #road safety is not just about grand initiatives. We can start from where we are and with what we have to protect learners on their school journeys #mydreamisalive#roadsafetyug
Today, we successfully launched the Tyre Safety Survey Report 2026 in the presence of Mr. Kashanku Apollo, Assistant Commissioner Transport Regulation and Safety from the @MoWT_Uganda.
He shared his thoughts on how poor tyre conditions contributes to the road accidents that claim approximately 14 people per day.
In addition, he advised that the report should be translated to a local language so that the taxi drivers and boda boda riders understand the intensity of tyre safety.

I am actually genuinely proud of him, not from hearsay but from firsthand observation. I have seen his imprint across multiple initiatives and watched him consistently stay on top of the stakeholder landscape; engaging, listening, and ensuring that no one is left behind in the sector. If there’s been any result/output, it’s been concerted and for me that’s a plus!
Happy holidays!👌🏽
#RoadSafety awareness is very key in reducing road crashes and saving lives.
In partnership with @itmsug, @MoWT_Uganda and Traffic @PoliceUg, we have amplified our efforts by extending the Safe Kids Safe Future campaign to more schools in the City.
Today, we visited Aga Khan School where we had an interactive session with the pupils on road safety, the DOs and DONTs on the road, road signage, helmet and reflector usage and more.

This morning, our team held a fruitful conversation with @GenWamala on key milestones, including measures for #RoadSafety. Such engagements will yield positive mindesets especially amg our passenger transport operators towards a better Uganda. @sussiekats@assempebwa@URRENO1
