Following the demolition of the old concrete deck, the exercise to cast a new concrete deck is ongoing.
Formwork installation is nearing 80% completion. Thereafter, steel beams will be placed, followed by concrete casting for the bridge deck.
Eng. Lawrence Pario, the Head Bridges and Structures [Frame one], reports that the project is advancing as planned, in anticipation of opening the bridge to traffic before Christmas this year.

We toured #Hamzstadium and we requested #HamisKiggundu to have our Match at the newly commissioned stadium that is scheduled for 26. 10. 2024 that will be btn the taxi and the boda boda industry aimed at raising road safety awareness and promoting Unity.
I led a delegation of @utof_uganda paid a visit to Kiteezi to meet survivors of the gabbage avalanche that claimed lives, we brought along relief items that were recieved by the @UgandaRedCross representative and @KCCAUG. we are with you in pain and suffering people of Kiteezi.

Low Cost Sealing of the Busaana Town Council Roads in Kayunga District is currently underway.
Low-cost sealing is an innovative technology that is aimed at improving all weather rural accessibility and reducing gravel loss.
The technology involves the sealing of low volume roads utilizing locally available resources.
In Uganda, the technology is being used to seal roads which would otherwise not merit sealing using conventional and more costly methods.
Under the Research and Innovation section of the Construction Standard and Quality Management Department, numerous technologies have been piloted to ascertain their applicability to Ugandan infrastructure needs before rolling them out nationwide,these include;

Probase Technology is currently being piloted on the
🛣️Kakiri-Masuliita-Mawale road and the Kayunga-Nabugayi & Nansana-Kireka-Bira roads.
ONGOING: Koboko - Yumbe - Moyo road project (103.08Km) aims to improve the road, resulting in reduced travel time for all traffic including buses, motorbikes, and trucks used by refugees & host communities, and for cross-border trade between Uganda, DRC & South Sudan.

The project seeks to improve roads and connectivity in the districts it traverses, ultimately transforming lives in the region.

The #GreenRightOfWay project, launched in 2017 and first implemented on the Gayaza - Zirobwe road, is showing positive results!

ACCESS RESTORED!!! Access has been fully restored on the Kabale - Kisoro road. A mudslide at KM 52+000 near Kanaba had cut off the road after a heavy downpour. Our field team has now restored access. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

We held a meeting in the New taxi park Kampala, to address issues of drivers that operate along Mbarara, kigezi and greater Masaka Mpigi route, to regulate drivers that use that route wrongly. I thank you all that attended and your good opinions.
