Massa," stop manipulating the poor, ignorant masses. You know that a large section of the public is easily manipulated, and you bank on this to make yourselves unarrestable and unprosecutable. You use "democracy" as a mere pretext! Before anyone can even seek clarity on why an official has been arrested, you mobilize a mob to demonstrate in party colors.
When I see people demonstrating to protect a politician accused of looting the state, I ask myself: What exactly are they demonstrating for? They aren't fighting for democracy; they are being used as pawns. In Ghana, if you hold a high enough post or you are a politician, you know you can bank on party loyalty the moment you embezzle state funds, so you can do it with impunity.
To the public: Stop letting yourselves be used. Do you see these politicians' and rich men's sons and daughters protesting? No, because they are all abroad enjoying the best of luxury while you still wallow in poverty. The only statement a public figure like you should make is, "Let the law take its course." You claim to fight for the constitution but disregard the rule of law, which is the bedrock of the constitution.
This vicious cycle will continue if we Ghanaians do not start pushing back, because when the NDC goes into opposition, they will also demonstrate for any arrest, regardless.

You are well-traveled; have you heard of any politician going on a demonstration or insisting party members ignorantly go onto the street after a member of their party is accused of embezzling the country's funds or arrested? Ignorantly going on demonstrations or making loose comments even before you know the rationale is very sad but a classic textbook of a Ghanaian politician. You guys are seeking power in the next election, but nothing has changed with you. Can you guys not put Ghana first for once!! Why encourage this foolishness in Ghana? Because the public is clueless? NPP and NDC, no one is above the law. Think of the poor woman whose child died because there were no beds in hospitals, or the pregnant woman who died on the way to the hospital because the roads are in such a poor state, the young child who sits under a tree to study, the university graduate or sisters who have turned into "ashawo" because there are no jobs, etc.! So when someone is arrested for stealing public funds, think of the ordinary Ghanaian before starting your demonstration.
