Hard to see how this is allowed.
Prayers for all my Roman Catholic brothers and sisters who have to put up with this nonsense.
“Celebrating the transgender Catholic experience” sounds like something out of a nightmare.
News: Cardinal Robert McElroy, Archbishop of Washington, celebrated Mass for 500 participants (some pictured here) at the @OutrchCatholic conference for LGBTQ Catholics at @Georgetown today. We will post his homily, which moved many to tears, later. So grateful for His Eminence.
@flippyflip99@rumBaKnight@ryanburge How about “would you serve the laity the blood of Christ if the pope said you can’t?”
Which is real example of every Catholic priest ever before the reformation.
Pope Leo has appointed Salvadoran-born Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala, a formerly illegal immigrant and critic of Trump’s deportation policies, to lead West Virginia’s Catholics.
Menjivar-Ayala is being transferred from the Archdiocese of Washington, where more than 40% of parishioners are Latino, to West Virginia’s Wheeling-Charleston Diocese, which covers a state where Latinos make up just 2.4% of the population.

@Catherine_LCP@FlaviusTdsius@RorateCaeli This will exclusively happen in the “Catholic world” aka Europe, where no one goes to church and society has been stuck for 400 years, only dragged along every now and then when a Protestant nations drags it.
In lands of empty churches, it may not even be stealing!
Why do people turn to religion and what can the church offer that they can't get elsewhere?
The Reverend Fergus Butler-Gallie says that churches that simply preach and tell people to be 'nice' sometimes miss the point, and that a church can offer something that is strange, distant and deep.
