As the saying goes, we are entitled to our own opinions, but not to our own facts. These are the facts about school vouchers- and just a few reasons we don't want them in Kentucky.

Bad Bill Alert = Majority Party silences opposing voice that identifies the “badness” by limiting debate. It has already happened today on the 1st debate on final passage of HB5. Silencing voices is anti-democracy. Anti-American. Today I have been silenced and denied speech.
Budget negotiations are underway in the Capitol Annex. Our caucus will fight for better school and state employee raises; more infrastructure investments; and additional childcare support. #KYGA24
Rep. @camuelforky tried to exempt school buses from ever being without a human driver, but her amendment was rejected. She also cited - and agreed with - a poll showing that 83 percent of Kentuckians believe driverless vehicles "are a threat to public safety."
Not only does it change what voters of Louisville approved, but only 28% of Louisville Representatives supported this change. Decades of precedent overturned by non-Louisville Republican Reps, who often claim they’re for local control. Ha! Hypocrisy on steroids. Sad.
New: a poll of 93 KY public school districts shows 96% saying the House GOP's budget won't enable their districts "to attract and retain teachers.”

Republican politicians know their scheme to spend public dollars on private schools is unconstitutional.
That's why they’re trying to change the Constitution.

"Every Kentuckian should feel included. They should feel protected, and they should feel safe. And Senate Bill 150 did not do that,” state Rep. @camuelforky said. #KYGA24
After today's legislative session, Rep. @camuelforky spoke with @Karolina_Buczek of @LEX18News about House Bill 376, legislation she and Rep. @SarahForKY filed yesterday to repeal last year's SB 150, the harmful anti-trans law. Her interview will air on WLEX later today. #KYGA24
