The $Libra drama gives off "They are not confessing...they are bragging" vibes and reinforces what I’ve been feeling about this space for a while now. There are good people here, and over time they should rise to the top.

It’s always some mix of:

- Disgusting people knowingly exploiting others
- Naïve people causing harm without realizing it
- Good people getting accused/roped in
- Educated people calling out real issues
- Uneducated people calling out nonsense
- Outsiders who see all this and think crypto is a joke (who can blame them?)
- Everyone else getting rinsed by the chaos

I've listened to people rage about @frankdegods @banksfucks @notthreadguy @stoolpresidente and others while openly admitting they’ve done exactly what they’re accusing others of doing - just at a different scale or form.

Examples:

“If I get free tokens, I tweet about the project (without disclosure). No spoken agreement forces me to promote, so it’s fine. I just wait a little before selling.”

“It’s okay in small groups, but when it gets this big, it’s too far.”

“I rugged my first launch off snipers to build a treasury for the real one later.”

These are delusional takes. Doing something wrong in a smaller way or different form doesn’t magically make it right. To be clear: I’m not defending or accusing anyone. I’m just reacting to what I see on the TL

What’s the solution?

There is no magic fix. The only way forward IMO is if people can talk though these events while being able to:

- Admit when we are wrong
- Admit when we don’t know
- Accept solutions we didn’t come up with
- Talk to those we disagree with without turning it into a dumpster fire
- Accept differences and focus on common ground

Nobody knows everything
Nobody is mistake-free
Nobody can fix this alone
Nobody is 100% right all the time (except me, ofc😉)

This isn’t just about big names it applies to smaller communities too - like #crofam. Same vibes, same patterns which is why it’s relevant to us.

Looking forward to breaking this down on Traffic this week. Hopefully, we can actually grow from it instead of just fueling another dumpster fire. 🤞
