@AnalystNews_ Excellent and candid interview with @KarimKhanQC. Refreshing to see the chief prosecutor pursue absolute justice and not bow to powerful countries who try to coerce the law.
A true lion.
"We're dealing with genocide, war crimes ... it could be the end of international law."
Watch our exclusive interview with Karim Khan, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, where he details the threats against him, urges accused war criminals to surrender, defends the work of the ICC and delivers a stark warning about the demise of international law.

@DocEmUK What is your best recommended workaround for "GP to kindly refer to..."?
In secondary and tertiary care we are asked to route all such referrals via the GP for funding reasons. It always feels like an unnecessary additional step and avoidable delay.
"His Holiness, the Khalifa, was right, well ahead of the majority, in warning of nuclear war. What we're now seeing is very loose talk by people about the use of nuclear weapons."

@sportsdrzaf@premierleague@ChampionsLeague@Arsenal Great work from the Arsenal sports medicine team this season. Some very strong player comebacks from their injuries the season before, and a whole heap of new challenges this year. Onwards and upwards
Threatening concrete action marks a shift in the UK Government's words, but the time for ultimatums has long gone. They must act now to end the catastrophic death and destruction in Gaza and the West Bank. Palestinian children cannot wait any longer.
The UK must end its complicity and urgently suspend all arms transfers to the Government of Israel and hold all perpetrators of violations accountable. They must not be an ally to Israel's atrocities.
Gary Lineker not allowing the "stick to football" cowardice to stop him is exactly what journalism needs. Establishment journalists will write essays on a football pundit serving as a distraction from the game.
Let's not pretend Winter etc have only ever spoken about football.
Gary Lineker has been an accomplished presenter for the BBC. Brings insight, calm and wit, and effortlessly gets the best from studio pundits and guests. But Lineker has become increasingly associated with non-footballing issues which overshadow his role as a football presenter. He's absolutely entitled to his views (whether people agree with them or not) but they’ve become a distraction. That's partly media fixation with him, and also him being a convenient stick to beat the BBC with.
A clean break is now best rather than all these constant headlines about his views, whether he’s right or not to express them, the BBC need for impartiality and frustration with him among some other staff more tied to the Corporation's code of conduct. When the story-teller becomes the story there’s usually only one ending.
It’s sad it’s ending this way. Lineker’s a gifted broadcaster, very likeable company and there’s a generation with no real appreciation of what an exceptional footballer he was, one of the finest in English history. Lineker will always be in demand. He has his hugely successful podcast empire, his social media platform (8.7m followers on X), the BBC does not have the reach/hold it once had and he can continue espousing his beliefs away from the terminally twitchy BBC. Lineker's voice will still be loudly heard.
An American orthopaedic surgeon recounts the horror of seeing children as young as six with traumatic injuries in Gaza from Israel's relentless bombardment.
This was Dr. Samer Attar's 6th visit to Gaza. The hospital he was serving in was bombed, yet he and other staff were ready to put their lives at risk for their patients.
War is never inevitable. Weapons can and must fall silent, for they never solve problems but only intensify them. Those who sow peace will endure throughout history, not those who reap victims. Others are not enemies to hate but human beings with whom to speak.
Israel has just taken land in Syria up to twice the size of the Gaza strip and Israeli tanks are within 30 miles of Damascus and possibly closer.
Yet HTS has not fired one single shot at an Israeli soldier.
If that doesn't make you understand what happened, nothing will.
When my mother first moved to Japan, she tried to jaywalk while pushing a stroller on an empty residential street. She was immediately stopped by an old, well dressed Japanese man who solemnly told her in perfect English "the downfall of society begins with the individual"
Since the 90s, when my illness began, I’ve been struck by how much energy is spent advocating for disabled people’s right to end our lives—and how little is spent improving how we live.
Netanyahu's global travel will be greatly restricted and he will be seen as an "international fugitive," former U.N. war crimes judge Geoffrey Robertson says after the ICC issued arrest warrants.
He adds that calling the ICC "antisemitic" is an "outrageous lie by Israel."
Watch Professor Nizam Mamode break down as he tells @CommonsIDC about the systematic & persistent targeting of civilians by Israeli drones immediately after they drop bombs on areas of civilian population living in tents. Thanks to @SarahChampionMP's words as he composes himself.
It’s illuminating that Israel can send drones up close like this to stare Hamas members in the face and yet they choose to drop 2000 pound bombs on crowded civilian areas.
As we watch Palestinians being burned alive by Israel tonight, I remembered this interview with Israeli philosopher & professor, Yeshayu Liebowitz. I urge you to watch this full interview.
“That is your future prophecy.”
