As someone who had alcoholic parents, I would terminate any child I came in contact with. Nothing would make me want to take care of another person again. Pro lifers, go adopt all the homeless drug abusers, all the mentally ill who refuse to get help, all the people on skid row before you spout your nonsense.
I've known I've not wanted kids since I was 15 and the feeling hasn't changed in 20 years, even with different boyfriends and much pressure from relatives. I will never want kids. Marriage scares the living shit out of me. It's how I've always been. Trying to force people to birth kids is stupid and harmful to the kids. To think you can make someone into someone else by pressuring them over and over is beyond delusional. You can make them *comply* temporarily. You will never change them.
That's gross. I think 24 weeks like you suggested seems ok. I think it should be on the patient and doctor to review circumstances, or consult counselors as necessary. It's hard to put a line on things when every case would be different. I would rather doctors not be charged with accessory to murder or something because of legal restrictions on healthcare.
@Prolife_Sam I don't like the thought of the killing children that can survive outside of the uterus. I also want people to have a choice in times of crisis, emergencies, etc.
@Prolife_Sam My thought was that it wouldn't survive outside of the uterus without support, either way. It's still terminating the pregnancy. If it can survive without support, I don't support that. A group of cells for instance, will die with water being introduced.
I see the definition of an abortion as "a termination of a pregnancy". So, yes, a c-section would be an abortion by that definition, I think. I think the social, political, legal, and medical way those things are broken out is different. I think that's part of the issue- when politicians make laws and they have to be understood by lawyers and coded by the medical community while also made to still be able to deliver lifesaving care. But I'm not sure. This is just my personal opinion.
@CuencaVi49@yoalexrapz It's generally asked if someone wants to look into why someone died. Someone who is sick, it's usually known why they are dying. It's more often looked into if someone dies suddenly. ...There are a lot of abusive men who are controlling.
@CuencaVi49@yoalexrapz If a fetus is declared a child by law, it's death would be considered a form of murder. Even if not intended. This happens with adults who go to trial. I think the term is "involuntary manslaughter".
