Yes mate I really want to go to Cardiff in the middle of December to watch a fight that should have happened 5 years ago and starts at 2am.
Obviously I’ll watch it but who the fuck genuinely thought this was a good idea, wild
@exiirr@StokeyyG2 So what you’re meaning to tell us is. The guy that went for the ball, missed, and went into the opponent “shouldn’t play for the rest of the tourney”, but the guy who came in from behind, dragged his studs down the back of someone’s leg and then stood on his ankle should?
The lack of consistency when it comes to officiating in this World Cup has genuinely been fucking laughable. Balogun gets sent off for a red card offence and gets it suspended so he can play. Quansah gets sent off for a red card offence and his ban gets extended. Joke
🚨⛔️ OFFICIAL: Jarell Quansah has been suspended by FIFA for the next two games.
Quansah was given red card during Mexico game, missing the quarter-final clash with Norway and a potential semi-final. 👨🏼⚖️🏴
It wasn’t a bogus red card though was it. Malicious Intent or not he stripes his studs down the back of the players leg and then stands on his ankle. It’s a reckless, dangerous tackle and it’s a red card every day of the week
So to recap what happened with the USMNT:
• Balogun received a bogus red card
• VAR protocol isn't followed (no slow-mo)
• Trump calls Infantino to ask about the process
• US Soccer lawyers preapre & submit an appeal
FIFA's independent 18-person disciplinary committee then met, approved the appeal, and told Balogun he could play in Monday's match against Belgium.
That's what everyone is complaining about?
All rules were followed, and that same process is open to every other country. The only difference is everyone knows the red card was a mistake to begin with.
