Nice little walk around Elton this morning, dodging the showers. Family of Little Ringer Plovers on The Withins, pair of Linnets nesting in hedges near Doffer Farm. Reed Warbler heard near the wooden bridge but not seen. Usual Whitethroat's, Blackcap's, Willow and Sedge Warblers.

Redstart at White Coppice this morning, Numerous Cuckoo's heard but not seen.

@WingedBliss If you park at White Coppice, next to the cricket club. Then walk up past the cricket pitch to the bridge and then LEFT down the riverside to the next bridge. Then cross the bridge and walk left and it was 150 yards down there. Cuckoo's allover the place.

Trip to Martin Mere. 9 Avocet, 2 Marsh Harriers, Several Buzzard, Black Tailed Godwit and Redshank. Good numbers of Whooper Swan and Pink Foot. A Ruff showed really well and several Cetti Warbler and Chiffchaff.

Morning walk between Burton Marshes and Parkgate. 5 Marsh Harrier, 2 in display. Little Owl, multiple GWE, Pair of Merlin. Plenty of Curlew, Redshank, Oystercatcher, Little Egret, Wigeon and a few Cetti Warbler and Chiffchaff

Morning trip to Marshside and Banks. Spoonbill at Banks, several Marsh Harriers, a small flock of 8 Twite on the fence st Banks. Hundreds of Golden Plover and 3 Grey Plover. Best of the rest Ruff, Common Sandpiper, Dublin, Redshank, Pintail.
