Heartbreaking

We are shocked and desperately saddened to learn that the famous Sycamore Gap tree at Hadrian's Wall has been felled overnight, in what appears to be an act of vandalism.

We know just how much this iconic tree is loved locally, nationally and by everyone who has visited.

We are working with our partners to understand what has happened and what can be done.

The incident has also been reported to the police.

Last term I had it confirmed that the offer of a permanent contract replacing my 8 years of fixed-term contracts has been withdrawn because the University does not have the money to continue the post of Greek Instructor. In my time I have: 1. Doubled average Greek enrolments 1/10

@Yelvieman @danny_robins I may have to re listen but I think he said the time of the noise was e.g. midnight, but because the clocks changed the noise happened an hour "later" (or earlier). I.e. it didn't alter at all, did it. Only the clock changed.

@SaysKat If this is the one that was on Britbox previously, as I think it is, I liked it! How much of that was me being glad that it followed the plot of the original book, unlike ITV's previous attempt, I don't know..
