I really hate Fantagio! I blame them for everything bad that happened to Astro and Cha Eun Woo! But the problem is, there's probably no specific person to blame – I've heard that the CEO is changing instantly! News like that are just breaking my heart. 💔

I wasn’t even going to talk about this, but I see a lot of misinformation and people trying to play it down so here are the facts, made simple

Fantagio themselves announced they owe ₩82B in back taxes after a 4-year audit, they must pay by Oct 31

In Nov, a ₩130B loan (convertible bond) comes due. Because the stock price is too low, no one will convert it into shares, so they must pay it back in cash + 7% interest

That means between Oct–Nov, they need ₩210B. But their cash on hand is only ₩110B. In simple terms, they don’t have enough to pay what they owe

On top of this, the business itself is shrinking. Drama projects delayed or canceled, sales down 42%, operating losses bigger than before. Net loss only looks better because of financial accounting tricks, not because the business improved

Worst of all, over half of fantagio’s revenue came from ONE artist: Cha Eunwoo. With him enlisted, their main income stream is gone.

What does this mean for artists like Astro & Eunwoo? Less money to invest in albums, promos, and projects. More delays or cancellations of dramas and content. Financial instability that puts extra pressure on the artists themselves

So this isn’t just a routine audit. They mismanaged money, over relied on CEW and now faces a serious cash crunch
