The Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) - an independent body created to keep industrial peace - this morning ruled that the ILWU Canada cease and desist from participating in any strike action because the union did not provide 72 hours notice.

This strike is illegal.

In follow-up to the June 28th hate-motivated stabbing on campus, the university hosted two community forums this past Monday. We think it was obvious to most who attended that the necessary work in healing, protecting and prevention will come from the community.
