The greatest lesson I learned this year is to choose people who choose you. Do not put all of your time and effort into people who don’t appreciate your presence. Find and put time into the ones who appreciate you. Use this in whatever aspect of your life it applies to
Today I realized that there really is something special about being misperceived by someone and completely being aware of it and letting it happen anyway
The best is yet to come for you!
Be thankful that you’re not where you used to be. You’ve outgrown so much and you’re still learning. You’ve survived so much which made you stronger and more aware. Give yourself credit for making it this far.
Normalize being ok with letting people think what they want about you. The idea that we're going to be liked, validated, or accepted by everyone is an illusion. Our peace, mental health and happiness is more important than other people's perceptions, opinions, or approval of us.
Literally as I was bleeding out and almost dying after giving birth the doctor told me I needed to put the gas mask on and my response was “I don’t need to do shit!” Lolol
Your life can really change in a year. You just gotta love yourself enough to know you deserve more and be disciplined to actually work for it. Start journaling, write down your goals and create systems to help you achieve that.
I just wanna become a calm woman when it comes to any situation. That’s my biggest goal for this year is calmness. I’m sick of irritation, anger, sadness, rage etc… lord just calm my spirit ✨🫶🏾🤌🏾
As I stroll on TikTok, I keep seeing parents video their children reacting to The Little Mermaid trailer. So instead of focusing so much on the negative, I thought I’d show a thread of the little black kids who are excited to see their favorite princess look like them.
