Give a damn about Tampa Bay, politics, baking, patriarchy, music, TTRPGs, shiny stuff, knitting

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

I just want @VoiceOfOBrien to know someone appreciated his "Beauty Queen of Leeane" allusions in #CandelaObscura. Didn't expect to be scarred by that play twice in one year.

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@nobaramybeloved Escape from the Bloodkeep bc it's shorter & the players just ran the whole thing.

(But honestly, Fantasy High & Unsleeping City are both wonderful too - John Hughes does Fantasy world and Urban Fantasy world in case you need that context)

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

Thank God they gave @marisharaygun a couple weeks because that was a lot of quality content! So many reaction shots are coming! (Thanks for what you do!)

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@marisharaygun This is a great edit and also way too early in the week for me to re-process this scene. The absolute love between those two.

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@CityofTampa Have you considered working with FDOT to not have half of Seminole Heights under construction at the same time? Local businesses have already failed because you guys can't use a shared calendar.

This story from the Miami Herald, one of the few papers that has reported consistently and extensively on Gitmo, mentions five former prisoners who recognized DeSantis, and one, Mansoor Adayfi, who says DeSantis was in the room as he was being tortured. https://t.co/2LFZq3LB8v

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@hueiameras I try to follow the human (and feline and puppet) moments on my first watch. I'm following some of the lore, but not all of it. I figure I'll get there (or I won't) by the last episode and then I can read smarter people than me explain it

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@wusf - you know you can say no to some money, right? Sometimes you get to have principles and decency and say no.

[Daylina Miller (they/them) @DaylinaMiller]

I have to apologize to the trans community in the Tampa Bay area. @wusf this pitch break is running an underwriter on Jordan Peterson, a vile transphobe. This underwriter does not reflect our values as a news organization, or my values as a trans and nbi person. I’m horrified.

@AGoldmund Please please, an occasional tweet where you rate the quality of fictional podcasters.

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@dimension20bot A pleasure and a privilege to enjoy your service

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

Funny moments from latest @FiveThirtyEight podcast on loneliness
1) "attachment issues" "oh, I'm familiar!" @galendruke giving us some hilarious openness. (Me too, buddy)
2) the ad for a service aimed at "you don't need a group deal, just a deal for you" - holy irony, Batman

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@JustTwigIt @WorldsBeyondPod SAAAAAAAME especially with that gorgeous galaxy backdrop!

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@DOBrienATL This song was the moment in the show when I started crying and it basically didn't stop til Steve closed us out. Thank you for sharing this.

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@adainesabernant Left - Fabian (cool hair, mildly disaffected/bored)
Right - Adaine (great thinking face!) or Riz (investigating a photo on your crystal)

Idk why they are all FH

Rewatching Wildcards ETU because I have a week off and never finished it. Thinking about @SavingThrowShow crew & everything I learned from @jordancallarman - parts of my home game are/were just direct rip-offs of her choices. Couldn't have asked for a better guide. #SavageWorlds

SCOOP: Body camera shows Tampa police chief using position to get out of traffic violation. I obtained this video after weeks of public records requests. 10 minutes ago, @TampaPD PIO sent out a press release about it to try to beat us to the punch

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@ThePlasticGeek @pescami It would mean destroying your local stations. A lot of them rely on state funding and individual stations are not part of the NPR budget.

[ladriaan @ladriaan]

@jordancallarman I've got nothing to say to make this better, but I do want you to know that you are valued by many many people. And that I will be praying for you as you experience this grief and also as you continue to discover your truth. You deserve all the light and love.

Folks say a crush of tenants is causing soaring rents, a major inflation driver.

But ProPublica found another dynamic at work:

A tech co.’s little-known algorithm helps landlords “beat the market” – and push rents even ⬆️

Critics accuse it of undermining competition.
