Roman (Carnelian) Gem engraved with Venus and Anchises (25 BC), set in a modern gold and enamel setting, from Rome - Italy.
Superbly engraved, the gem depicts a woman, mostly naked, with her hair tied in a sakkos, sitting on a pile of stones, beckoning to a naked young man standing before her. She has a drape over one shoulder and carries a pedum (a hunter's throwing stick) visible near her shoulder. The identity of the couple has been the subject of investigations since the first publication of the gem in the 18th Century, but they are probably the goddess Venus and her lover, the Trojan Anchises. The fruit of their union was Aeneas, the father of the Roman people.
Anchises' fame in Greek mythology is linked to the fact that he was a mortal lover of the goddess Aphrodite. One version says that Aphrodite pretended to be a Phrygian princess and she seduced him for nearly two weeks of sex. Anchises learned that his lover was a goddess only nine months later, when she revealed herself and presented him with the infant Aeneas.

I've been rather busy with my head stuck in ancient texts, but I'll get back to regularly posting. To reiterate again, supplemental studying must be done outside of the temple.

Maybe, there's a reason why @ladybabylon666 struggled to get his dissertation passed.
Maybe, there's a reason why he has never published an academic monograph.
Maybe, there's a reason why he can't get work in the field...
Maybe, he's not a good scholar.

Academia is at least 20 years behind before these truths become accepted. The mystery will be uncovered for all to see.
The first word deciphered from the Herculaneum scrolls was 'porphyras', so I think it's safe to say we are guaranteed further illumination in our near future.
"But through scraping chemical and DNA analysis from the inner walls of a mug donated to the Tampa Museum of Art in 1984, Prof Tanasi and his research team discovered a cocktail of psychedelic drugs, bodily fluids and alcohol."
This may be somewhat vindicating for Dr Ammon Hillman @ladybabylon666 and his translation of Ancient Greek.

@SSSEROTONIN3 I shared the book list because you sound like a novice. He has no ties to any dogmatic religion. The list is meant for reading and pondering, not keeping in mind. And you can't trust anybody, including yourself.
