Trade Union Reps are currently in the fight of their lives.
Up & down the land in hundreds of workplaces, they are battling hard to save as many jobs as possible.
Please may we send them our solidarity & support? It would be much needed succour for them. Thank you all.
BA Profits are minus - £3 million ..your wages covering 3 months to return to rip up our contracts.. shares at an all time low because there is no faith in your leadership You dont purchase another airline whilst pleading poverty
KTF everyone. Stay strong #BAbetrayal
WW says that @British_Airways is capable of negotiating and the proff is that they have just done that with Balpa, great Willie lets start the negotiation with the same starting point : no fire rehire and temporary solutions possible , i am sure BASSA will love that #BAbetrayal
#BAbetrayal
Crew and all employees.
You now have 7 days to reset the destructive course BA, IAG have set for us and our customersTweet, email, shout, scream, join the demo’s. Don’t leave it to others. . @BorisJohnson shame on you ...@HuwMerriman thank you
I’m struggling with this too. What has happened to our basic employment law? Such a shame for our once proud flag carrier @British_Airways is following other opportunists out there in a cost cutting frenzy. Lower standards and customers will fly with someone else #BAbetrayal
BALPA were able to negotiate ‘meaningfully’ with British Airways. Pilots were the only dept not issued with S188 and ‘fire and rehire’ from the outset. Why not the rest of us? #NoToFireRehire#BAStopThinkAgain#BAbetrayal
Willie Walsh/@alex_cruz/ Amy James and your management team will forever more be known as the people who ran #BritishAirways into the ground. A great airline to #NationalDisgrace all for £$€. Even Ryanair sought to change their reputation. The #BAbetrayal will always be you.
Honestly a bit heartbroken watching people I’ve flown with for 25 years in some cases making the decision today whether to take a 50% pay cut or continue flying. So many good people leaving and taking their experience elsewhere. Best of luck to them all🤞🏻
Willie Walsh, boss of BA owner IAG, says airline has "no choice" but to axe jobs. BA lost £711m in Q2. Compares with £187m post 9/11 and £309m in Q1 2009. Also claims consultation on job cull and contract changes "well articulated" to staff. Feedback I've had suggests otherwise
