I had the rare privilege of seeing the endangered Trillium persistens yesterday. This extreme narrow endemic can only be found in a 4 square mile radius around Tallulah Gorge in Georgia and South Carolina! ๐งต
Yesterday I had the pleasure of presenting my work at @ibc2024 . Now I am ready for the next stage, I am still looking for a PhD, and I am open to opportunities (different families and topics). Now I live in Berlin, and I am available for opportunities.
#Convolvulaceae post-IBC paella : best way to end an amazing week of inspiring talks, future projects discussions and hugs (so many hugs!).

Happy Flower Friday! ๐ผ As the morning light dapples the forest floor, these wild Morning Glories, also called Wild Potato Vine (Ipomoea pandurata) dot the dew-covered landscape. They produce a large tuberous root that when cooked, is similar to a sweet potato!
Enlightening talks on the fourth session of the Plant conservation genetics symposium on genetic conservation of endangered firs ๐ฒ, Florida ziziphus translocations ๐ธ, genomic data for rare succulents ๐ต, Florida Torreya genetics ๐ณ, and Echinocereus taxonomy and conservation ๐บ
A few years ago I worked and fell in love with Concolvulaceae. Today I continue to collaborate with studies in some genera (palynology, biogeography, conservation), and I have the pleasure of meeting and getting to know incredible people from this team @ibc2024#convolvulaceae
