Mother and daughter Vizslas
These two girls break my heart! They arrived at the beginning of April and two of the sweetest girls who have clearly had a pretty poor life to date!
AMBER is 9 yrs old and we know for certain she has had at least 4 litters of puppies - one of those litters included RUBY who is just turned 7 yrs old.
Amber is now spayed and in great health if a little sad and confused being here! Ruby has laryngeal paralysis .... she is spayed but we have taken the decision to manage her problem with the use of steroids when needed as the risks involved from the surgery and the chance of aspirational pneumonia going forward are too high.
She does make noises after exercise or excitement but she is one of the happiest dogs you could ever wish to meet.
These dogs surely deserve that special home?? Maybe someone with a large secure garden? Maybe someone who has countryside all around and can take for lovely walks - but these girls mostly love to run and scent and enjoy freedom!
Please please consider and share - they do not deserve to be here still! - Arundawn Dog Rescue

We’re really really struggling to find Jake a home, we knew it wouldn’t be easy, but it’s not impossible.
If everyone who sees his post can share, the power of sharing really does make a difference.
Let’s help Jake have a better life.
Jake is a 6 year old Bearded collie x Boarder Collie.
Jake is a product of his environment. He lived in home with two elderly owners, and has grown up with both of them going through the various stages of dementia. Other than walk and feed Jake, both owners had no idea of how to train or look after a dog. As a result he has had a stressful life to date, and at times has suffered physical abuse as a method of control. This shows in his behaviour, (nervous, defensive and will attack if feels threatened).
Training has been at a basic level, house trained and walking on the lead.
Jake gets nervous of noise, phones ,hoovers etc. This will lead to excessive barking and with hoovers he will attack them. In the late evening he will start barking for no good reason. Probably this is related to his owners health condition as dementia sufferers symptoms get worse later in the day.
That sums up Jake’s bad points.
Outside Jake is a different dog. He no longer pulls on the lead when walking, takes a command to wait and is more comfortable with passing vehicles.
Small fast cars are still a slight issue. He is no problem when he meets people outside and will lie down should a conversation take place. Most times he is fine meeting other dogs. The exception is if another dog gets aggressive. He will respond. He does not like cats! It should be noted that Jake is also ok with people coming into the house.
He loves to run and fetch a ball. He will happily play outside all day if someone is throwing a ball. Currently this is done on a long rope lead as his play area is not fully enclosed.
Jake requires a quiet home with owners who understand the breed, and can continue to improve his issues. He is not ready ( and may never be) for a house with young children. He needs his space to regain the trust that a raised voice or hand is not a threat.
Over the past 6 weeks there has been an improvement in his behaviour. That said there is still a way to go before he becomes the dog he can and should be.
Jake has a diet of dry food mixed with a small sachet of wet food. In addition to this he does get treats, which he enjoys, as a reward.
From the limited experience with Jake he has been ok in the car.
Jake has and has always had a large cage that he goes into if left alone. He also sleeps in it at night. He is fit and healthy.

Urgent, please retweet to help Lupa find a rescue shelter space, currently in South of England, due for EUTHANASIA in a British Council Pound #UK 💔
Not available for adoption, we need shares so that a shelter with space sees this.
LUPA - NEEDS RESCUE SPACE. TIMES UP 29TH JUNE
Lupa is a cream GSD who has sadly been neglected and is a bit shut down but not at all hostile. She is chipped and we know she has just turned six years old. We will add more info if we get it but we are unable to get any more videos.
If you can pledge to help with costs to get our dogs to safety it is greatly appreciated. Please go to their posts on DRDUK CONTACT 👇👇👇

All dogs must pass a temperament test before being released for rehoming via rescue. This means they will have shown no human or dog directed aggression or have given the kennel staff any cause for concern over their temperament.
Our dogs need rescue spaces for rehoming via rescue, they are not for private rehoming directly from the pound. They are available via JACOB'S POUND DOGS UK.
Please contact The Animal Advocate, Gill Atmeare, Deborah Shepherd, or Aimiee Findlay if you can help.

The fact that most British council dog pounds give dogs no exposure and euthanise them after 7 days, when no shelters spaces are available, is a national disgrace and scandal #UK
Most council pounds do not show the dogs they have in their care on social media, often no one knows they exist or that they have been pts.
If a dog was stolen in London and then dumped in Scotland the owner only has 7 days to search every pound in the UK to find him, he can then be 'euthanised'.
Councils say they do not have the space or resources to feed and house dogs or to assess them for re homing. It's a national scandal we are not seeing in the news.
The public needs to know why buying a puppy or breeding from existing pets is a very bad idea. Unscrupulous breeding should be stopped now‼️‼️
⭐️There are already more pets than homes⭐️

Please retweet, what to do if you see a dog in a hot car...
Here’s the RSPCA step-by-step guide to help:
“In an emergency, it is best to dial 999 and report a dog in a hot car to police. The RSPCA may not be able to attend quickly enough and, with no powers of entry, would need police assistance at such an incident,” the RSPCA says. “You can call the RSPCA’s 24-hour emergency cruelty line on 0300 1234 999 for advice but, if a dog is in danger, dialling 999 should always be the first step.”
Check the animal – is he/she relaxed or distressed?
If the dog seems fairly content and isn’t in immediate danger then try to establish how long they have been unattended in the vehicle and note down the registration. Ask a member of staff to make a tannoy announcement to trace the owner but ask someone to stay with the dog and monitor them.
If the dog is in distress or displaying any sign of heatstroke – such as panting heavily, drooling excessively, is lethargic or uncoordinated, or collapsed and vomiting – call 999 immediately and request police.
If the situation becomes critical and police can’t attend, many people’s instinct is to break into the car to free the dog. Please be aware that, without proper justification, this could be classed as criminal damage.
Make sure you tell the police of your intentions and take photos or footage of the dog as well as names and numbers of witnesses. The law states that you have a lawful excuse to commit damage if you believe that the owner of the property that you damage would consent to the damage if they knew the circumstances.
Once removed from the car, move the dog to a shaded/cool area and douse him with cool water. Allow the dog to drink small amounts of cool water.
The dog should be seen by a vet as soon as possible.

Urgent, special appeal, please retweet to help Ozzy find a home #UK
Recently, Ozzie received a diagnosis of a progressive eye condition. He is expected to become fully blind within the next 18 months. Despite this, his spirit is strong, and he still has so much love to give. He is looking for a patient and understanding home, ideally with someone experienced with blind or sight-impaired dogs, or someone willing to learn and give him the time and support he needs.
DETAILS OR APPLY FOR OZZIE BELOW 👇
https://t.co/zl5ZUsXSrd
Ozzie is an affectionate, playful and deeply engaging boy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. Described by his foster family as a true “soul dog”, he quickly steals hearts with his cheeky charm, loving nature and joyful outlook on life. Curious and clever, he loves to be involved in whatever his people are doing and will happily follow you around the home just to be part of things.
He has a wonderfully goofy side, from his floppy ears that sometimes turn inside out to his impressive snoring once he settles down for a nap. Ozzie enjoys toys, enrichment games and puzzle activities, and he learns new routines and commands very quickly. He responds beautifully to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, making him a rewarding dog to live and train with.
Ozzie is looking for a patient and understanding home willing to support him as he adapts to sight loss and continues learning about life in a home environment. In return, he offers endless affection, loyalty and companionship, and will make a joyful and devoted best friend to the lucky person who gives him the chance he deserves.
Could you be the person to help Ozzie feel safe, happy, and cherished as he navigates life with sight loss?

OZZIE
My confidence and self worth haven’t been great lately and I just wanted to say thats ok so other people who suffer with depression or anxiety know that it’s ok to feel like that.
I’m CEO of Happy Doggo and most people in positions like mine have to hide stuff like this. Most people in all positions In life do actually. It’s really hard to admit you don’t feel the best about yourself. That’s why I just write it down as I feel because maybe it’ll help someone.
Between our team, partners and everything wrapped up in what I do there are probably 100+ people who rely on me. Add in social media, donors and everything else and that’s a massive happy facade to keep up.
I’ve learnt though that it’s ok to say you are not ok. At the moment I’m going through the motions. Still working hard and trying my best but I feel a bit worthless. No self worth at all. I also have imposter syndrome. I know I can jus read the comments here or look at the dogs saved and I should be happy but it doesn’t bring me anything. I look in the mirror at the moment and can’t even really look at myself. No particular reason or spark for this. As people who suffer know it just comes in a dark wave like a fog.
I could easily share some happy dog photos and smile and pretend I felt amazing. But I’d rather be honest and try to help others. I have untold amounts of support and good luck that many of you dont. So if you're feeling down or a little rough right now, that's okay because so am I, and it's absolutely fine to say that.
Have a lovely weekend and be kind to each other ❤️
The Wedding Dress I work at a bridal salon. A girl came in to try on dresses. She was a size 18. She looked at the rack of tiny sample sizes and her shoulders slumped. "I probably won't fit in anything," she whispered to her mom. Another consultant rolled her eyes. "We have the plus-size section in the back," she said loudly. The girl flinched. I stepped in. "Actually," I said, "I just got a new shipment of gowns that would look stunning on you. They're front and center." I grabbed three dresses I knew would fit. I spent two hours with her. I jacked her up with veils and jewelry. When she came out in the second dress, she started crying. "I look... beautiful," she said. "You are beautiful," I told her. "The dress is just the accessory." She bought it. Her mom pulled me aside. "She's been bullied her whole life about her weight. Thank you for making her feel like a princess." Kindness is the best accessory. It fits everyone.
Good Morning everyone, we just want to wish all our amazing sponsors and brilliant followers (and everyone else of course) a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas. Take care, have fun and stay very safe. Loving you all xx💃🕺🪗😊👍💕
Can all #Everton fans share please? Found a phone on the front carriage at Sandhills going to Liverpool Central around 8.30. Gave it to staff guy called Adam at Liverpool Central and he said he will keep it safe. Not got many followers so any chance of a RT @ALANMYERSMEDIA
