If you’re enraged about Marcellus Williams (you absolutely should be), you need to make sure that you’re viewing this violent, racist injustice, not as an isolated incident, but as part of pattern of systemic violence and racism.
You can’t expect us to believe you are pro life when you:
Execute an innocent man.
Make laws so extreme that pregnant women die from not being treated.
Do nothing about our high maternal and infant mortality rates.
Refuse gun law reform in the face of school shootings.
tw: drugging
In light of what happened at the Blerp party at twitchcon; I implore people to watch this.
Slipping something into drinks is so incredibly easy even if you’re prepared.
Do not blame yourselves.
the prosecutor who sent him behind bars said he was innocent. the victim's family said he was innocent. hundreds of people who knew the case said he was innocent. all of those pleads fell on deaf ears
A reminder that the previous Governor halted Marcellus's execution indefinitely and put together a group to examine his case and look at clemency. Parson dismantled that group and restarted the execution despite the Prosecuting Attorney's pleas. He should never know peace.
The fact that the USA is about to execute an innocent citizen - they know is innocent, the DA now says is innocent, the evidence proves he is innocent, should be enough for everyone to tear the system down.
Marcellus Williams could be any of us.
Marcellus Williams is all of us.
