"Después de 32 horas ahí, pensando, mirando al techo que tenía en mi cara, empecé a escuchar mi nombre a lo lejos, que me hablaban. Lloré de felicidad porque me iban a sacar".

"Me pude alimentar un poco porque no quería comer mucho. Se seguían moviendo los escombros arriba mío con las réplicas. Pensaba en mi familia, en mi vida. Cuando salí, le dije a mi mamá: 'No me vuelvo a quedar nunca más sola'".

🇵🇦 Alcalde de Panamá le responde a Diosdado Cabello por críticas a la ayuda

📢 El alcalde de Panamá, @Mayer Mizrachi, respondió al ministro del Interior chavista, Diosdado Cabello, luego de que este descalificara la ayuda humanitaria enviada a Venezuela. "Si tanta merma es eso que Panamá ha mandado, ¿qué hace en Maturín? Entonces, ¿por qué la siguen recibiendo?", cuestionó.

🤝 Mizrachi recordó que Panamá también enfrenta necesidades, pero afirmó que decidió apoyar a los afectados por los terremotos. "No estamos pidiendo gracias, nada más no critiques ni a Panamá ni a El Salvador, porque mucho se está haciendo", expresó.

📌 Además, sostuvo que la población venezolana sí valora la asistencia internacional. "Yo sé que la gente está agradecida, aunque tú no lo estés", dijo al dirigirse a Cabello.

🇺🇸 Amanda Beatriz y Abel Alejandro Andrés Navarro fueron citados e interrogados para evitar que participaran en la celebración por el 250 aniversario de la independencia de EE.UU.

⛓️ Durante más de ocho horas, los hermanos fueron retenidos y amenazados con cárcel por sus contenidos críticos con el régimen. A Abel, además, llegaron a encerrarlo en un calabozo.

💬 Cubanet los entrevistó para conocer qué pasó durante esas horas que estuvieron encerrados en la estación policial de Aguilera, en La Habana. También conversó con el padre de ambos, quien también ha recibido amenazas y los esperó durante todo el día a las afueras del lugar.

Event: As of 12 p.m. EST, Cuba experienced a total power failure due to a collapse of Cuba’s electrical grid. According to Cuban regime media, the reason for the collapse and the timeline to restore power is unknown. All U.S. citizens in Cuba or planning to travel to Cuba should be aware and plan accordingly. There are reports of cellphone and internet outages.

Cuba’s electrical grid is increasingly unstable and there have been seven nationwide power outages in the past 18 months.  The electrical system remains vulnerable and additional regular outages have been occurring more frequently and for longer periods. Scheduled power cuts occur daily, and unscheduled outages persist throughout Cuba.

Actions to Take:

Review daily updates published by UNE (Unión Eléctrica)  and follow UNE’s social media accounts.
Monitor local media for updates.
Stay in touch with family and friends.
Keep mobile phones and portable battery banks charged.
Have flashlights and spare batteries in a location easy to access.
Stock up on nonperishable food and water.
Prepare for alternative methods of meeting your medical needs (medical devices requiring power, medicines refrigeration, etc.)
