@sugabelly The ridiculousness of that whole situation was honestly laughable but from then on, nope! Arrogance and lack of self awareness is a big problem. Obviously not a nice person 😒
@ronkecarew That marriage is very likely over! She needs to start an exit plan asap. She absolutely must not give over her biz!She will regret it.He doesn’t love her anymore and his ego is taking him to his end. Another branch or biz might work for now but he might mess it up again. What then?
I want to say a big thank you to all of you who have contributed to the drama on twitter for the past couple of days. I must say, this is a very exciting time for me. This is why I am on Twitter. Please keep it up. Keep it coming. I am thoroughly entertained. ❤️
If you stand near faeces for a while, you stop smelling it. Not because it has stopped smelling but because you're now used to it.
Same way, if you tolerate rubbish for a while, it stops looking like rubbish to you.
if you choose A WORKING WOMAN, you must accept that she CANNOT manage a house full time by herself. if you choose A HOUSEWIFE who can take care of and manage the household completely, you need to accept that she DOES NOT MAKE MONEY and you will have to provide for everything. if you choose a SUBMISSIVE WOMAN, you should accept that she DEPENDS on you to lead. if you choose to be with a STRONG WOMAN, you should accept that she is STUBBORN and has her own thoughts and ways
There’s a line from a movie that’s been on my mind “We’re in a conflict, we don’t hātē each other. Let’s not say things we can’t come back from”. This is a reminder of the importance of being with/being someone who is respectful & kind during fights. May we know them & be them.
My father once told me the secret to a happy marriage.
“Stay out of the kitchen. Let her handle the holidays.”
I was 19. He was in his recliner.
My mother was cooking for 14 people.
She’d been up since 5 AM.
He’d been up since the football pregame.
I didn’t think anything of it.
That’s just how it was.
Fast forward 20 years.
I’m in the recliner.
My wife is in the kitchen.
She’s been up since 5 AM.
I’ve been up since the pregame.
My daughter walks by and I see her watching.
Not the TV.
Her mother.
Then me.
Then her mother again.
That’s when it hit me:
She’s taking notes.
My father taught me that holidays were for men to rest and women to work.
He didn’t say it.
He showed it.
Every Thanksgiving.
Every Christmas.
Every Easter.
The recliner passed from him to me like an inheritance I never asked for.
This morning I woke up at 4 AM.
Not for content.
For the turkey.
My wife found me in the kitchen at 6.
She didn’t say anything.
She just stood there.
Then she cried.
Your kids are taking notes.
Not on what you say.
On where you sit.
The recliner is an inheritance.
Be the generation that stands up.
I'm a big fan of the "GPS Theory" when you miss a turn, your GPS doesn't judge you, it recalculates. No matter how many detours you take, it finds another way forward. Life works like that too. You'll make mistakes, but your destination doesn't vanish. The route just changes.
