After being caught and admitting guilt:
FTX employees took $ to change kyc to bahamas for withdrawals
FTX was hacked and all funds were drained
FTX’s website and mobile app were updated to infect users with trojans
FTX tried to extract funds from user bank accounts
No arrest
It's still unclear how and where the hole was created and whether an outside creditor(s) is involved.
It's also unclear whether FTX directly accessed customer funds (and if so, why?) or whether it levered up against FTT in a loan senior to customer funds and got margin called.
